Seems more about hype than anything else. I found the book average, and people are paying more for the 8x10" Turn Coat print than the actual print. I also wasn't a fan of the new large print, looked like more of a halloween novelty print than something I'd want to look at every day. I'd much prefer something like Suck Face for $700 range. |

Hype. And the artists/galleries know this. Everything in how they act is about hype. And yes, I don't care for the print to the point where I'd pay that kind of money for it and put it up in my home. Felt the same way about driveby shouting and some others. I'm trying to get the older stuff. So Suckface is on my radar along with No Joke and a few others that aren't too pricey. I'm just not with the hype and it's not just artists, we see it with everything. |
