The piece is an exact 1:1 model of a 1988 Lancia Delta which belongs to Rita Barberá, the Mayor of Valencia. Barberá has treated the car park at City Hall as her own private property and her Lancia has been sat there gathering dust since 1991. The Lancia has become a small but resonating example of the larger problem of how Barberá and Spain's politicians have confused private property and public goods and, in doing so, also undermined the public good in favour of private gain.
Escif's 'Lancia' is now parked without a valid ticket in a municipal car park in the centre of Valencia waiting to see how Barberá's administration treats an identical vehicle when it's parked by a member of the public.

Gracias a todos por participar en el proyecto ELSEWHERE y gracias a todos por vuestra enorme paciencia.
Después de mucho trabajo, ya hemos enviado todas las recompensas (libros, serigrafias, fanzines y dibujos). Muchos de vosotros ya habeis recibido vuestro regalo. Otros estais a punto de recibirlo.
Espero que lo disfruteis.
Estamos muy contentos con el resultado del libro y queremos que llegue al mayor numero de gente posible. No podemos permitirnos trabajar con grandes distribuidoras, asi que hemos abierto una pequeña tienda online desde la que distribuiremos el libro.
