Personally I think they are connected, there’s far too much similarity for her to continue and it be sued. Hence when I’m taking a punt and picking up a couple of copies now.

For my pennies worth I've bought stuff from Mrs B in the past purely down to being that I like it, like everything else I've bought, which really is the purpose of art isn't it. It's to be enjoyed, not seen purely as an investment. And if Banksy's not bothered about what she (he/they?) are peddling out then why should anybody else. Let them bash on till interest eventually fades. And her customers will be the genuinely happy ones because they will not give a toss what the stuff's worth in 10+ yrs time. They bought stuff because they liked it.
Like no doubt many others I'd love to own a genuine Banksy piece, who wouldn't (and god knows I've burst Banksy/Pest Control's ass enough asking for new, more affordable items to be released to 'joe public') but it's not going to happen anytime soon. So until then, I'm more than happy to pick up a significantly more affordable Mrs B or WCP rep in the interim.

Also, Mrs B maybe making a bit of money but for the amount of effort put in (shipping crates, printing costs, free postage, staff costs etc) + only choosing to sell once every month or two....it's not that much money really. I probably make more money in a month for way less effort than they do.

So if you like it, buy it. But if you don't then don't buy it, or belittle the people who do purchase stuff like this. If you're one of the many people out there who do own genuine Banksy or Warhol etc then that's great, but ownership of a particular genuine piece does not make you better than anyone else. Just enjoy what you have and respect what others own/like.

I think if Banksy ever bothered to read this thread then it would be good to hear his view on the matter because I'd be shocked if he would tear into the likes of Mrs B etc for what they're making. He said it himself, copy what you like but don't sell pretending to be me. And I agree with that. But Mrs B or WCP are not pretending to be anyone other than themselves and clearly state that on everything they produce. Banksy must know if he makes something and punts it, it's worth insane money (he's able to print money basically). But if Mrs B etc do the same, it's maybe £70 or £400+ at a push. That's it. Because people know what they are buying. It really isn't rocket science.

So come on Banksy, I'm calling you out on this one, big fella. Ball is in your court. What's your take on Mrs B / WCP etc? 😘👍
