Banksy Birmingham Reindeer - needs protecting, by John The Badgers on Dec 29, 2019 17:14:49 GMT 1, Not sure this the right place for this, but yesterday went to see the Banksy Reindeer piece in Birmingham, well worth the trip to see.
The reason for the post, is the protection being offered by the current Perspex/spacing. Looks like one of the Reindeer did it, in the dark, and would have reservations as to how long it will last, or protect it. The way its been put up also creates a lot of condensation, so you struggle to see the image. Apologies, did mean to take some pictures.
It seems to me, that its not rocket science to have the job done properly, to me that would mean a properly fabricated frame, properly vented, with decent Perspex/glass.
It seems a shame to me that due to the current protection that's offered, this wont be around for too long I think, which seems an absolute shame.
Just seeing if there is any interest in getting the job done properly?
To me just 3 issues -
- Getting a frame fabricated properly, and installing, I reckon I can easily source this
- Getting the permission, thinking its Network Rail, but I think they would be interested in a long term solution?
- Getting the funding, but thinking we are not talking a whole hill of beans here, and plenty of interested parties who would chip in?
Would appreciate members comments.
