Spoke to a nice lady in the shop, she said there are no more posters available in the shop, any posters left are allocated to people on the current waiting list. She said they have quite a backlog, but will fulfil all orders for people on the waiting list. In addition, I asked how many they did, she said she wasn't sure, but circa 1200. She didn't sound overly confident when I asked whether there would be any more. As an aside, great to see one of Harland's pieces in the main exhibition space punching its weight - 
Just to follow on from Johns post, my brother was fancying a poster so I told him to email them and this was the response he got today.

Thank you so much for your enquiry. Unfortunately we are completely sold out of the posters as they were on a limited print run.
Hopefully we can look forward to your visit at one of our other exhibitions in the near future. Currently we are operating a pay as you feel approach at York Art Gallery and tickets are available online at yorkmuseumstrust.org.uk

I went to the Gallery a couple of weeks ago Shagga, speaking to the nice lady in the shop, she said to me about 1200 printed.
Its been said before, but these 'posters' are spot on.

That’s a lot, his precious poster releases were between 100-150 per image.

I visited opening day and they had sold out by the next morning (circa 100 posters)
They were not restocked until the VIP opening maybe another 100 (I was there when the pallet was delivered)
The show closed by the middle of March but the posters were mostly out of stock, maybe they had one more delivery in that time.
Someone mentioned the other day that there order number on the ones sent out to the "waiting list" was lower than 130, so maybe another 150.
I would estimate 500 tops.

I went to the exhibition on day 3 and there was still some there (perhaps about 30 left on the display) so I'd suspect there was more in the backroom if they'd all seemingly gone on day 2 for you.

Was only relaying what the lady who was serving behind the counter at the Museum Shop said to me the other weekend Astbury.
As mentioned, she said she wasn't sure, but she also said she helped unload them, seemed very knowledgeable on the situation.

Added a little bit extra as a donation as the gallery have been suffering like everyone else - would have expected to have paid more for the poster (from source - not flippers) after hearing the condition and quality of it from others so is a no brainer

I am not local to them, but they are great to deal with, and the shipping never an issue for me, I thought Winks was The Packing Meister, but the way they safely get things to you is brilliant.
