Christies Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, by met on May 16, 2020 11:48:45 GMT 1,
Sweet image with universal appeal — one that speaks to everybody. At 214 x 152 cm, it's also an imposing statement piece.
If my home were decorated with a massive painting of two stickmen frigging each other off, I'd surely spend less time accessing niche-proclivity websites.

Christies Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, by tab1 on May 16, 2020 13:31:33 GMT 1, Brokered as investment pieces to certain individuals backed up by the constant stream of previous auction results Not hard to monopolise and pump a small market with no new pieces being rarely added But at this time without knowing what effect the pandemic will have on the economy a bit risky spending high sums on any piece www.fa-mag.com/news/gundlach-fields--panic-offers--with-the-art-market-in-distress-54757.html

Do not get the hype personally. His art reminds me of the simple things in life. Price wise, yes his art has shot up over the last 12 months

Price wise, yes his art has shot up over the last 12 months It is the hype around it that I just do not get - £156K is insane money for that canvas. And lets be honest it is not even one of his better pieces. Some people spend silly money on pieces. Take this Basquiat print the other day, while I love Basquiat this was crazy in my eyes. Yes it was a HC edition of 15 but still silly money for one of these

That needed to be reeled in Was getting way out of control New artists releasing editions of 300-500 at up to £1000? A big headache for people that bought into these sales ? And people are still buying ? Must be the people that do not follow the news?

Christies Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, by letterpressed on May 16, 2020 14:30:23 GMT 1, Crikey, I remember passing on all the Stik stuff That they had in King Of Paint in Bristol. I wish I hadn't, I had a feeling at the time it would be a mistake! I wonder who has the Jackhammer?!

I own a banksquait and with the Unknown’s ahead I would not buy any secondary until the market is settled . It is all too easy to get caught up in the hype . On a smaller scale as seen in the pejac letter and the vault sales . Some people are not looking at the bigger picture With the state of the economy to come which will have an effect on all markets , most people are still comparing prices in normal times which agree with prices quoted

If your quoting the price for basquait from the link above , read the sales description again , it was printed in 2016 take away the mere and question mark from your quote and I agree with you

Christies Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, by Poster Bob on May 17, 2020 12:27:38 GMT 1, All Stik canvases are still significantly undervalued. They should be about £150k minimum regardless of size. But, as we saw with the Banksy market, it can take a few years for the prices of prints and canvases to truly separate.
