Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by LJCal on Oct 14, 2020 18:57:21 GMT 1, Is someone paying you to spread fear or do you do it for a laugh? There have been a few documented cases of reinfection out of 37 million, so get some perspective. Tracking of the virus is not at its best and not everyone that have had the virus is logged on the tracking data , many a symptomatic individuals Presented with facts if causes fear it is down to the individuals character , understanding and interpretation of facts presented Youโre tiresome, I can barely make out your ramblings half the time and when I can theyโre usually complete nonsense. Enjoy life in your bunker.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Oct 14, 2020 19:04:34 GMT 1, I think in general what people are alluding to is the continual posting of random links, mostly angled towards a negative viewpoint, is starting to get tiresome. We all know 2020 sucks considerable amount of arse we donโt need constant reminders of that fact. Nor do we need random scaremongering posts that paint doomsday scenarios day in day out. One can only imagine the stock pile of toilet rolls and canned goods you have amassed awaiting humankindโs (and not forgetting the rest of the mammals according to one recent post) end of days. You never know it might turn out okay.
The post was written months ago and the questions raised were and are valid and being discussed now in the media and government so hardly scare mongering , just would like to know , have had a family member die from Covid in July so a bit pissed off more than most with the situation or maybe take an More in-depth interest more than most

We will see next year What effect it has had on the market But already noticing a lot of members selling a lot of their art collections More so than in previous times and desirable items not often seen coming to the market

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by gd79 on Oct 15, 2020 22:47:58 GMT 1, My theory: this is a really easy spot to clean cash. A lot of the usual opportunities have gone away as various shops and services have been forced to close.
How many ways can you pay someone on a basically anonymous forum a substantial five figure sum in cash, then flip it at auction for a legitimate wire transfer into your account (and I don't mean just this one, you can insert sneakers, supreme tat, pop sculptures as you see fit).
The backstory is completely credible (paid 5k cash for it years ago, no real records, what a result), it's completely above board and your cash is now clean, in your account, ready to move.
Noone for one second can believe a poster is 'worth' several grand, or a large edition print is 'worth' a Chagall original. Sure, the vast, vast majority of us may be straight shooters - but remember, it's ONLY the highest bidder that sets the price.
If there isn't a huge dollop of this going on, someone is missing a trick

Meet Kevin Hollinrake MP. His salary is ยฃ81,932. He claimed ยฃ88,197 expenses in one year, making a total of over ยฃ170,000. Then he dared, somehow, to vote against feeding hungry children.
He thinks he is worth ยฃ170,000 and they are worth nothing!
End the gravy train โ clean up parliament

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by skAcid on Oct 26, 2020 15:49:53 GMT 1, End the gravy train โ clean up parliament
MPs have gone too far this time. While they vote for children to go hungry, we are all still subsidising MPsโ food and drink โ on top of their ยฃ82,000 salary, ยฃ3,000 pay rise, and generous expenses!
Itโs time to end their gravy train. MPs must no longer be a โclass apartโ. They are supposed to be our representatives, not our rulers. They should live like the rest of us, not live in luxury on taxpayersโ money.
A charter to clean up parliament
1. No more pay rises for politicians. MPs should receive an average workerโs wage only. 2. Close all parliamentary bars and remove all subsidies from parliamentary restaurants. 3. Abolish MPsโ expenses. 4. Remove second home allowances โ set up basic dormitory-style accommodation for MPs. 5. Ban on gifts and free โhospitalityโ โ any gift received must be returned.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Schrรถdinger's Chat on Oct 26, 2020 18:15:24 GMT 1, Boris and his chums are as low as salamander's scrotums and as slippery as eel's foreskins. Even this feels like a charitable description of them.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by oliver21 on Jul 26, 2021 4:04:16 GMT 1, Mentioned months ago animal infections, if confirmed many may start dumping pets , cats would be the greatest risk A vaccine for humans would Only be A temporary Fix ,if the virus is spreading through many different animal species already , and each time the virus jumps species to a new host the virus will mutate And the present vaccine developed may be useless . May be with out this pandemic overpopulation would be a problem in a couple of decades so maybe it keeps a balance
Yes, you are right. I totally agree with your view that it will be impossible if it start spreading through animals/pets. Though it is the pandemic, even the infectious diseases like Rabies, Leptospirosis, etc were unable to control. I always got my dog vaccinated in time and order the required medicines well in advance from the Pet Meds online.
