Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Masong on Apr 5, 2020 12:45:26 GMT 1, This is completely a smoke screen for the gov to seem like they are doing a bang up job and the reason its all gone tos**t is because the general public are doing it all wrong. All of the footage i have seen makes it looks like people are keeping their distance whilst outside. I went to the park yesterday. There were a few people in there. Mainly everyone was giving each other a wide berth and a few smiles. I don't think newspaper stirring ups**t is a good thing. I think it will breed paranoia among people which is the last f**kingthing that we need at the moment. Anyways I know this will be an unpopular opinion. But there you go.
Agreed the newspapers do stir it up. Even the way that some of the photos are taken that they use are taken from an angle that fills in the gaps and make people look closer than they really are. Iโve also seen the same photo used over both weekends too. Maybe itโs all just an excuse to put tougher lockdown in place... at the same time sunbathing in a park is pretty fรปcking stupid at the minute even if it is just a handful of people.

There is better research data to use but just for a quick example
www.google.co.uk/amp/s/slate.com/human-interest/2014/04/mit-sneeze-study-new-research-shows-sneezes-can-travel-up-to-200-feet.amp
People are static on ground laying or sitting down yesterday in open spaces with the breeze it can carry the airborne particles easily to groups in close proximity Trigger points for allergies to sneeze for some are , pollen , pet hair even grass etc
I assume it is more contagious and fatality rates are higher than the government are admitting to the public at the moment by the actions taken around the world
Edit: www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/how-far-sneeze-cough-germs-can-travel-2018-10%3famp
First link just taken from 1st result found from result page

I agree to some extent however I live beside a park and I've NEVER seen this many people out walking, most without face masks. I understand that a lot of the other things to do have shut down however I also believe that when you tell certain people they can't do something they want to do it all the more. I would say about 50% are genuinely taking their 30 minutes exercise and the rest are just outside because they're supposed to be at home. I was going to go for a walk round the block today however I don't think its safe, too many people out there. Its next weekend that's going to be the big test, Easter weekend indoors!

Youโre probably right to an extent. But trust me, you donโt have to google far to find 100 articles of the fucktards ruining it for everyone else. Like the spring breakers having raging parties, or the churches still gathering. I read ONE church in Sacramento CA has over 70 cases of c-19 linked to it and theyโre SUPPOSED to be on stay at home orders. Clearly they didnโt care. In the end, itโs probably just going to be another one of those things we live with. Itโs super scary now, but once thereโs enough ventilators in play and a shot to lesson the blow, probably just apart of life going forward. I feel the same way about the media as I do politicians. Leeches. Only care about shock value and ratings. That and they all have political agendas which is annoying as FUUUUCK too. Their real job is LOBBYING.
Can someone suggest to these avid church goers that they need not burden our doctors and nurses once they are sick ?
Surely if they need to be saved their god will take care of that for them

Itโs really hard on parents too. Itโs one thing to be stuck at home, itโs another when you have lil kids and they think they are being punished since they canโt ever leave the house. Parents in crowded living spaces especially are going nuts right now. ๐ฑ Most of them are adults without kids! Even if you have kids you don't need to take them to a crowded park, just walk round the block or scoot round the deserted high streets or carparks.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Leo Boyd on Apr 5, 2020 13:22:22 GMT 1, Agreed the newspapers do stir it up. Yeah I mean sharing links to the evening standard as if they have any integrity or care in any way about the health of the nation is mind boggling

I donโt think Iโve seen ANY parents taking their kids out here, but I donโt get out to see much. I was just saying itโs driving parents nuts having kids with BOUNDLESS energy and not being able to go out. I bet alcohol sales are at all time highs!

A quick reference viewing and looked on years down the line without which one might not assume with the pandemic This might look like a referencing death to a certain group and stay away ? Like the hysteria with early 80s aids posters Add a covid 19 molecule instead of cross to grave ? Inclusive of all faiths and references to the pandemic ?

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by wrigs on Apr 5, 2020 18:59:00 GMT 1, Donโt panic people, we have a message from the queen to look forward to... fantastic! Sheโs currently social distancing from her 1000 room 13acre one of three residences. Hopefully sheโs been able to get into the grounds for a little exercise and able to Skype Charles from one of his many estates. I look forward to her giving up a bigger proportion of her sovereign grant following in the footsteps of the premiership footballers being asked to do so to go towards the NHS ๐๐ป

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 5, 2020 21:21:50 GMT 1, Not mentioned much , but mentioned previously using students in final medical school year to be in front line positions will have a psychological toll on some ,as now being discussed by senior doctors , as the influx of death cases is way more than usual and is starting to have an impact on mental welfare of staff also on senior staff too , medical school does not really prepare you for actual death in real time .. In numerous countries Battling the pandemic there are now reports of medical staff suicides , some staff are having breakdowns and not going to work as in fear for personal safety and their family , have the government put in place assistance programmes for such scenarios for staff and back up to replace staffing numbers ?

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Apr 5, 2020 22:35:06 GMT 1, It's amazing how poor security is in some museums. I know of one where a very valuable painting was cut out of the frame and it turned out that the museum did not have any security cameras installed. The theft was also covered up for two weeks by the museum and local authority. People steal for all sorts of reasons including using valuable stolen art as collatoral between drug dealers and other criminals. Stolen to order for a collector happens sometimes, and other reasons including ransom demands as in money to return of the painting. Whoever stole it knew the layout and security of the museum. What exactly would a drug dealer or a criminal, I mean of course they are criminals.. but a criminal do with the Van Gogh? Canโt they go to the museum and watch it like the rest of us have to do with certain artists work? Also interesting to choose that painting? Why? Who would like to watch it so much so they are willing to go through all the effort to steal it, or have someone steal it? Nah, my bet is insurance money. They probably chose that one because it was the easiest to steal because it was stolen from a small institution with poor security not from the high security Van Gogh museum. It could be anywhere in the world by now. It could be used as collatoral at a fraction of it's value in an underworld deal or it could have been stolen to order. People steal things all the time including antiquities, rare books and from art etc from museums.
(I wouldn't be surprised if someone is building up a collection of high value art stolen from small museums in europe)

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Apr 5, 2020 22:44:23 GMT 1, Youโre probably right to an extent. Surely if they need to be saved their god will take care of that for them
Unfortunately the snake oil salesmen preachers who are raking in thousands from donations from church services (other religions are available) who keep telling everyone that god loves them and performs miracles etc and all that stuff have slightly brainwashed followers (not as brainwashed as scientologists obviously who also are having group gatherings) are profiting from this pandemic because if they closed their places of worship as advised by science facts they worry that people will lose faith in them and start thinking for themselves.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Apr 5, 2020 22:46:25 GMT 1, 6ft is the recommendation not to spread it. 27ft is the recommendation not to get it and die. I'll get a bigger canvas ! and in a confined space the virus can become aerosolised and travel even further.
