POW Price Increase, by scud80 on Apr 2, 2007 13:10:25 GMT 1, i'm perfectly ok with price fixing when it's used to sell me stuff i want at far below market value. if price fixing bothers you then don't try to order from pow and just get the stuff on ebay at the "unfixed" price ... nobody's going to stop you there and ebay doesn't crash either.

POW Price Increase, by kingdomcome on Apr 2, 2007 13:16:51 GMT 1, Dont have a problem with buying off the bay.....infact, got a nice DVD off it the other week.
''far below market value'.... for who? You maybe, Im sure not everyone had £650 lying around for the shit coloured Moron print...
Its in no ones interests to devalue art, except the people who cant afford to buy it. Thats the facts of it. Banksy going at auction for inflated prices only increases publicity and demand for his work which in turn only increases potential profits for POW.
Its a win, win situation.......

POW Price Increase, by dwight on Apr 2, 2007 16:31:43 GMT 1, POW does care about keep its prices below the secondary market on ebay. It means they always sell out right away. 1 in the bag is better than 2 in the bush

POW Price Increase, by Run Pig Run on Apr 3, 2007 16:00:00 GMT 1, heres a theory....... grannies was £200 and applause was £300, but morons was £250. do you think POW made a mistake at listing Grannies at £200 and tried to get the money back by releasing applause for a extra £50.
I know applause is bigger and that but werent the LA prints sold in LA all the same price?

Yes, all the LA prints that sold in LA were the same price
Actually, the unsigned POW releases so far have been cheaper than what they cost in LA, with the exception of Applause. All prints were US$500 a pop at Barely Legal... POW Grannies sold for the equivalent of US$394.70, POW Morons for US$493.37, and POW Applause for $592.05.
Totally pointless trivial information, I know... but there you have it anyway! ;D

POW Price Increase, by pastiepie on Apr 4, 2007 8:50:47 GMT 1, At the release of applause they mentioned it was more $$$ because it was a larger print and they had to use multiple screens to get one that they liked.
I'd imagine Grannies was conservatively priced as at that time the demand was so unprecedented + it was the most expensive unsigned Banksy to date. I guess now they are sticking with the tradition of selling signed for 2x unsigned. But where does sepia fit into that you ask?
