New Banksy post Game Changer, by Coach on May 6, 2020 20:42:48 GMT 1, He wanted to do it this way. Fair play to him. Who are we to suggest he should be doing something different? All the nhs staff on telly looked pretty pleased. It seems to me that he’s already done more than most for charity. As for the work, it’s not my favourite Banksy, but I do like it. It makes a heart warming point of love and gratitude in an otherwise dreary and sad time. Bravo that man!

New Banksy post Game Changer, by Unica on May 6, 2020 20:42:57 GMT 1, Timed release at £500 has a nice ring to it, would make a lot more than the original, prob £3/4 mil, or edition of 2000 @ £1000 either way a great donation going their way, win win like the love welcomes Mats 🌈Bâ~|{§¥ 👏have to add that framing is 👌too I very much doubt him and his team are going to want to print, pack, and send hundreds of thousands of tubes all around the world. Think of the strain on the post office. Then he would have people moaning about, packaging and the corner is dinged. It was bad enough when he sold the soup cans posters at £5. Just knock up originals and sell to VIPS, much simpler. Well done Banksy.

Majority not looking toOooo Deeply into the little meanings if any 🙈 I think the cape is a factor. Nurses would have worn capes in the past so fits in well with a flying Superhero.
I know , just giving a different perspective Male Plague doctors wore capes in the 15th century , would of added another twist and tie in well with the current scenario Just with any piece of art can be viewed In many different ways depending on the viewer

I do like it but the more I look at it, it reminds me of something a fancy ad agency might come up with. Hope it raises lots cash.

New Banksy post Game Changer, by tab1 on May 6, 2020 21:07:57 GMT 1, Because the money from an original is probably lower than the money from an original added alongside money from a print release and raising money should be the ultimate goal? Well I guess anything is possible, he could release a print to VIP's on the quiet for shall we say £25k each, proceeds to the NHS. No point in doing a release for general public , so they can all pocket profit much like the Sales End and Banksquiats. He has already given lottery wins to plenty. That wouldn't help the NHS.
VIPs are the biggest flippers , using high end auction houses and galleries to move on and make a larger profit margin than the regular buyers , most of the vips are advised to buy as an investment . Just copy gp business model release half to the public at normal price , let the frenzy begin and release the other half of the edition at market value via bbay , nhs funds maximised

I love the work, it delivers a simple and highly effective visual message.
That's what has always made Banksy great imo, the ability to get a message across simply and effectively.

Who are we to discuss anything ? Follow the script and stay inline and stay silent ? We are not in a communist state and individuals can have free thought? The nhs Is getting a lot of attention , charity contributions are down across the board as fundraising usually is through events which can not take place at present Hospices rely on majority of their running costs through charity , a lot are struggling at the moment and they are not getting supplies of ppe, Point is nhs is having all resources thrown at them and associated hospices are not being discussed , and would of raised awareness as not really mentioned

New Banksy post Game Changer, by Sliding on the Walls on May 7, 2020 11:57:22 GMT 1, That's a great idea. Only .nhs email's can apply.
As nice an idea as that is, what about all of the other key workers who are putting themselves at risk? From the health care workers helping the elderly to the people delivering goods or manning the tills, or out in the thick of it bringing the news to the people? The people who have to work and be in the public domain. The people who are helping the homeless, the emergency services, the bus drivers, train drivers, deliveroos, uber drivers, the army, the volunteers?
The list goes on.... and on....

New Banksy post Game Changer, by reg on May 7, 2020 12:13:31 GMT 1, Loads of artists have promised free concerts for NHS workers, it's becoming a thing. Yes it ignores porters, agency staff, kitchen staff who are employed by agencies etc etc and also isn't open to bus drivers, care workers and many, many other who have perished in the last two months.
But a line has to be drawn somewhere and the average nurse earns £24k, a newly qualified £18k. The same politicians celebrating them are the ones who have repeatedly surpressed their pay for the last decade. If one of them gets a Banksy, they're set up for life and deserve it.

New Banksy post Game Changer, by Terry Fuckwitt on May 7, 2020 12:47:51 GMT 1, I like the piece and it makes a change from a stencil, which would look too harsh for this image and setting. You can't fault anyone for donating a piece of art that will raise a couple of million for the NHS. So many other artists could and should follow suit. Couldn't work out why it was sent to a hospital in Southampton though, until I heard it was called 'painting for saints'. Nice little touch that and a thumbs up from me.

I can already imagine the Daily Mail headlines....
im sure a clickable link with a donation option would be better.. admitted lots of people wont pay.. but lots also would..

Post lockdowns would be in place for sales obviously 🙄
Nhs are not in any rush for extra donations there are 1000s set up With much raised already
The issues present that funding can help with now which is important to nhs staff physically and physiologically is ppe but logistically it is hard to reach required numbers needed no matter if funds are available and the latest batch from turkey is not up to standard .
The main funds Raised
www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/uk/100m-raised-for-nhs-charities-to-support-staff-and-patients/
And the amount raised would not be near anything as the one above Post lock downs would reach areas maybe not thought of or had funding ? The way described to raise funds by distributing the posters would be beneficial to awareness of what each charity provides support for
For example Mental Wellness Recuperation breaks For staff suffering from mental health issues triggered by the pandemic therapy and support ?

I think the meaning of the title and artwork are that the “change” is that now kids don’t want to be a super hero but a nurse when they grow up. And that healthcare professionals have gained status in our society.
