Gary Hume ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข Show News โข Art For Sale, by Deleted on Jun 18, 2014 10:54:08 GMT 1, I don't think that many have an issue with buying and selling, that's how the art world works, its more the manner in which its done, if theres a print release and someone comes on and offers it at double the price before the print has even been shipped on an art community forum where a lot missed out who genuinely wanted it for the wall.... it just shouldn't happen. As toast said Ruggs contributes plenty to the forum. The best thing about the forum is members build a reputation through dealing and contributing with other members, they become trusted and it makes buying and selling your art privately much safer. Personally I wouldn't buy from someone with practically no posts, far too risky, its comforting when the seller says I've dealt with such and such and that's where new friendships begin.

Global Art Traders was created for people to sell their unwanted art, be that something they have had for a long time or a recent purchase. I don't even have a problem with flipping because I know that the majority of people who buy art for the intention of selling will be buying another piece or art to keep or eventually sell, or for some form of investment. It is what makes everything go round and for many of the publishers of prints to be successful. The publishers of prints say they don't like flippers, however, if there was not so many people flipping there would not be the demand for prints, especially at the prices things are getting released at these days! Look at some recent releases of prints by artists that many of us had never heard of before, the release prices are incredible really, considering. All in all, I do not have a problem with any of it, I think it all makes it more exciting and makes owning a special piece or art or print feel pretty special.

I know one step removed from Urban Art but only really a small step. Myself and a few friends interested in this piece. A local pub actually has it up on the wall (not been very well treated and had a damaged frame for a while and appears to have some water damage around the top).
Just curious if these ever come up for sale or whether anyone has any info on it. I have of course had a bit of a google around and off the top of my head, I think it was from the 'Portraits' series circa 1998 and was sold in a relatively small release out of the shop at the Tate.
Anyone have anymore info? it looks like there are a few Gary Hume prints about at various online places and they seem to be quite similarly priced around ยฃ2k.. except for 1000 windows, which personally doesn't appeal at all.

I rather suspect that this is one of those occasions when the work will look significantly better than a small online picture. Especially considering the size of them.
Used as a wall hanging to give the impression of a door might look particularly impressive.
I agree, price seems very good.
