Really helpful, thank you. I’ve always gone down the custom/professional route but I’ve a couple of prints I might try this with.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by mrizzle on Jun 8, 2020 13:45:05 GMT 1, I can see the inspiration for this! Where do you order your frames from if you don’t mind me asking? Are you planning to mount it too? I think I’ll probably send mine to MFM for framing. I’m in two minds about whether to go for something like a really simple chunky single bevelled white frame mounted (possibly with a good spacer) to really draw the eye to the image or something more similar to what you describe, black and mounted. MFM will no doubt be able to keep me right and may even have his own suggestions. I also toyed with doing a white frame. Usually I use Brampton Framing but this time I used Easyframe. First time I've bought from them. I also went for an off white mount. What sort of starting price is MFM for a straightforward frame job? I always assumed professional framing to be quite expensive.
Thanks for that. I’ll have a look at them.
Professional framing can be quite expensive but it’s definitely a cost worth paying in my mind, particularly for those pieces that you really want to preserve/protect. As you can tell, I’ve not really explored ready made/ordered frames to fit but I also feel that they have skills and knowledge that can really do the art justice.
I’ve not sought a quote for the Nuno Viegas piece yet but, as a bit of a guide, I have a quote for the Fin Dac ‘Sansho’ framed full conservation standard with UV glass for £275 (approx). This may increase slightly depending on the frame and other customisations.

I got the findac too and did try contacting Framed by Framie for a ballpark price as he is local to me and I think he framed up all the archive prints for the graffitprints show. He never got back to me though so I just brought a frame to do it myself.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 8:59:09 GMT 1, Just had a text from Graffiti Prints saying my Order had been refunded. Open my emails to see this:
"hi
we have oversold the black Nuno glove and crown print, your one of our last orders on it and you bought a white so we going to have to refund the black one.
sorry
kind regards
Giancarlo"
I know quite certainly I was one of the earliest orders, I had the URL refreshed as it went live and paid with Apple Pay - they weren't showing as sold out even when I had completed checkout.
Safe to say I sent a strongly worded email back. Really not happy! Has anyone else has the same/similar issues?

So you bought a white one and a black one? They have cancelled the black edition but will still be sending the white?

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 9:29:53 GMT 1, Correct, I am aware I can't complain in a sea of people who missed out. I just believe when you sell something you should honour the sale.
"Overselling" something is easily avoided, especially on Shopify when you enter the quantity of your SKU in the back end and the site only authorises payment until they are gone...

I had emailed the GP team multiple times to enquire about presale and never heard back.
I know others had bought both also. It's disappointing to be told 4 days after when frames have been ordered.

You can and should complain if you bought something in good faith that the retailer isn't honouring. We all know they're keeping some back for a future vault release. They should do the right thing and offer you one of those, even if it's a PP

You bought it, they fucked up and he has a readily available alternative. They should try keep their customers happy (within reason).

At least they know they have a certain likely sale for the vault sale coming up

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by ajr on Jun 9, 2020 11:30:15 GMT 1, I can see the inspiration for this! I have used Easyframe many times. Very good service and you can also specify 3mm UV100 acrylic and a conservation barrier board. prices are cheap and frames are well made for the price. Only had one issue with a scratched piece of acrylic (over 20 orders so far) and they sent out a replacement next day free of charge, no questions asked.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 11:31:03 GMT 1, I agree an AP/PP would be a compromise, I have sent a couple of emails asking but who knows.
Also it will 100% pop up in a vault sale at some point, surely?
I completely understand mistakes can be made but I also believe in a business built on relationships you should do the best you can to keep customers happy. We'll see what happens but not sure I'll get a response.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by Poster Bob on Jun 9, 2020 11:53:04 GMT 1, Way too late now. My bet is you're already banned and that you'll receive a refund for the other print today. GP acts like a child if you haven't noticed before. Lots of people have commented on Instagram about being banned because he thought they were someone else. He really is a big baby. Nothing makes me happier than flipping his garbage on Ebay.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 13:11:33 GMT 1, posterboy It appears you are correct! Both orders (even charity raffle tickets) refunded.
It is a real shame that a long list of talented artists such as Nuno, Fankapan, Sandra etc. allow somebody with this God complex to represent them. And I wonder if they are aware/care?
I don't believe I was wrong in asking the community if this had happened elsewhere or if it was normal.

It is a real shame that a long list of talented artists such as Nuno, Fankapan, Sandra etc. allow somebody with this God complex to represent them. And I wonder if they are aware/care? I don't believe I was wrong in asking the community if this had happened elsewhere or if it was normal. Email from Giancarlo below for anyone who may care to read it: lol He has complete control over his subjects , Any bad whisperings about the regime and your banned . Surely you were just enquiring about your consumer rights ? Which is lawful , your lucky the print shop is not based in North Korea Even an secret agent amongst the forum To weed out any dissidence against the regime🤫 Lesson learnt do not complain until in hand!😬

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by drip on Jun 9, 2020 13:31:29 GMT 1, Posterbob, you're obviously the one "mouthing off" yet he'll be banned for posting he was refunded and not happy about it and you're not while openly saying you're flipping their "garbage" on eBay? Yeah sure.. That's the trick though, isn't it? How many of us, with the benefit of hindsight, would try the polite message to the gallery, wait for the response, get our other print in hand, *before* posting about it on the public forum?
We've all done it, but unfortunately the gallery holds all the cards. And by cards, I mean prints.
I can see it putting a bit of sh*t in the eye that you use to admire certain artists' work though.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by Poster Bob on Jun 9, 2020 13:37:48 GMT 1, I told you he's a little kid. Check out some of the complaints still on Instagram and Facebook about him banning people. What's worse, according to him, someone snitched on you. That was probably someone on the board who messaged him and said "Look what he's saying, sell to me instead." Dirty snitching kids. 🤦🏻

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by jsher on Jun 9, 2020 13:41:36 GMT 1, I am not even bitter, somebody else will get to enjoy it! I love Nuno's work and he is such a nice guy. I feel disappointed that it won't get to grace my walls and that the link between amazing talent and collectors is dealt with in this way.
Unfortunately in order to support the artists and to own the pieces they create we have no choice but to continue using GP, I suspect this attitude stems from that "power".
To even refund the charitable donation (which I will now donate personally) is low.
I was nothing but courteous with Giancarlo in my communication, citing the disappointment in his behaviour and that Nuno is likely unaware his collectors are met with hits. I asked him to consider his decision for the benefit of goodwill, a future relationship and reputation. I was met with:
I would never let this make me think less of the talented artists, though I hope they make an informed decision on who represents them next time.
Seeing as anyone can set up an Instagram & Shopify and drop prints, I may look at doing the same for artists but without the sh*tty attitude. Trust takes years to build as he rightly said but is broken in minutes.
I'll leave it there but beware of GP in future.

Again - what a t**t.
Nuno has plenty of talent and would've made it with or without GPs 'help'.

Bit hard to take sides when we're given one side of the story.
