Graffiti Prints Online Show, by Fairxat on Jun 11, 2020 14:32:05 GMT 1, Gotta side with GP on this one. His logic was sound canceling your first one, oversells are an accident, you weren’t being punished, he was trying to be as fair as possible. Why cancel an individuals only print when you grabbed two? You weren’t aggressive or overtly offensive in your emails, but saying your ‘disappointed’ and ‘expected better’ can certainly put someone on the defensive. Not unreasonable to see him to take it personally. Could of got a slap in person,so no harm done

I don't agree with is lack or proper communication and his spiteful behaviour because I was disappointed. Of course I was disappointed. And it being my first dealing with GP which I deemed a reputable company, I expected better.
It will certainly be my last, the man is, as cited here previously, egotistical and petulant. Enough said.

So one less clicker to beat at check out

It wasn't personal though was it. It was business and GP messed up good and proper. The OP missed out because of GPs incompetence, not through any fault of their own. There were much better ways of dealing with this. A professional organisation would go as far as they could to resolve the problem to customer satisfaction as quick as possible. An offer to 'put it right, one way or another' should've been forthcoming.
I'm the very unlikely event that there reallu were no PPs available, GP would still have countless other prints to offer as an alternative. The fact GP weren't even prepared to offer one is indicative that they're only really interested in themselves.
That aside, its pretty pathetic that a company can't take mild criticism without having a hissy fit.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by jsher on Jun 11, 2020 17:14:04 GMT 1, To quote Giancarlo,
“Your white went to a collector in the U.k that we accidentally sent two whites too.”
Hence, he stuffed up yet again. Imagine it was rather convenient having sent my allocation out to cancel it.
Will end it here rather than harping on. All in all a sh*tshow. But nobody hurt, money raised for charity and my money back in the bank. I have a Nick Smith en route and will spend the money on supplies for my own painting or another artist.
Yes screenprinting is a skill but it isn’t rocket science, it’s a matter of time before someone does it better, with less ego and a value placed on customers. When that day comes GP will realise I hope.

Graffiti Prints Online Show, by Graffiti Prints on Jun 11, 2020 17:52:16 GMT 1, Let's not forget the entitled customers GP has to deal with on a daily basis, let alone the hypocrite ones who will act like saints until they have the print they want only to put it on eBay the day it is in hands.. years of that and let me tell you customer service takes a whole different meaning on the other side of the fence..
Bullseye no one imagines what it is like over the other side of the fence.
Service is always something we have prided ourselves on and lots of collectors know it here
But entitlement we don’t need, we get it a lot, almost on a daily basis and it’s so tiresome
Like I said to him I would have cancelled one anyway
I did fuck up a lot last couple of weeks my minds dead almost, we been short staffed and it’s been a nightmare
Off to re charge before we come back in end August with a special 8 colour litho / 23 colour screen print, a real beauty.
Mistakes happen and like the double delivery we take the best way out, give the print to charity and raise more money for race equality foundation - don’t forget the Fanakapan’s on eBay too!
we nearly raised £40000 for charity in the last 11 days so not all that bad.
To tab1 your consistency does you proud man you never miss an opportunity, it’s got funny
the conspiracy you spread like a spiders web in your posts and not just me so I don’t take it personal
Keep on keeping on!
To everyone else stay safe and enjoy the summer

To everyone else stay safe and enjoy the summer I had complete empathy for the GP team, managing multiple releases etc. but the way it was handled was inexcusable. There was no entitlement from me whatsoever other than the perfectly reasonable expectation for a vendor to fulfil a signed and sealed, order confirmed, money debited from my account sale.
You can't pride yourself on service to collectors when you behave the way you did. Others have cited your puppet-mastery here on the thread and privately to me. This instance isn't anything new.
That said - Case closed, it's in black and white for people to see how you handled the situation - they can choose to support you, or not. I for one won't be.
All is well that ends well. Lessons learnt and life goes on. Best of luck with your August release.

Sweet! I guess I'm on the VIP list now Although the way I scored on the drop, I feel like a VIP anyway.. Brag aside, is Wendy still with you guys? I thought she handled most of the customer service back and forth. Always been super helpful. This whole thing reminds me of looking for reviews on the internet. It doesn't matter how reputable and how well respected a business or a product is. You will ALWAYS have that one person who will give a one star review even if the vast majority gave 5 stars. I've been collecting long enough.. the limited paper business, by design, tends to have more unhappy customer than your average business. That being said, you have to learn as a customer how to choose your words carefully, how to get the tone just right, make the person/business on the other side of the fence feel respected. It's a thin line between sounding like an entitled a** or not. You can't sound like you only want the business to understand your poor situation as a customer.. make them feel like you too understand their situation on their side. Some people will never get that and will continue to bring the bad experiences upon themselves..

And some will continue to kiss A** to get what they want. I was not in the wrong during this situation and don’t count myself amongst these “entitled” people who missed out. When you have bought something fair and square you shouldn’t be let down by a vendor. Simple.

To tab1 your consistency does you proud man you never miss an opportunity, it’s got funny the conspiracy you spread like a spiders web in your posts and not just me so I don’t take it personal Keep on keeping on! To everyone else stay safe and enjoy the summer Sweet! Simple.

You don't hand money over to someone else to 'understand the situation on their side'. When you purchase goods from someone you are helping them fund their living, however they choose to live it, no questions asked. On completion of a transaction a buyer should be happy/satisfied and the vendor should be grateful/proud. If that isn't happening then you need to sort the way you do business out. You shouldn't be in sales if you can't right a wrong without having a strop.

Managed to pick my black one up this morning, took it out to have a look and looks great. Already on route to the framers!

Delighted you managed to get it today!! You’re going to get yours on the wall before me then. Really intrigued to see/know how you frame the black one! I keep going back to something gold and quite ornate for mine but I’m not sure it’s not a bit OTT.

I’ve gone for float mounted with gold frame, look forward to seeing it done!

Really really liking what you have done with both. I may have to “borrow” to share these with my framer. Imitation is the best form of flattery as they say. Great job!! Who framed it for you if you don’t mind me asking? Did you cover the signature and edition number on the ‘ Sansho’?

Thanks. I framed them myself this evening. Yes I covered the number and sig on the Sancho. I did that so I had plenty of cover to use archival corners behind the mount to hold the print instead of using hinging tape.

I would think putting up with these few types of buyers is little loss to what greater businesses face, many business would be glad for any customers at present . These self deserving type of buyers are the ones that pay double or triple what the release prices were , which benefits the market and the artist In future sales ,as financial value if honest or not is the driving factor for most ,
