I am not sure if they are real? There's a receipt. There's an embossed stamp in front and a small pinkish stamp at the back - but that stamp isn't the Tower merry go round, just the text Walled off hotel. Here are the photos - if it's a fake - it's ok - it's my bad for not doing my homework - but I would like us to share our expertise on this - so to help more folks in the future! Thing is I really like the guy who sold it to me - he's so friendly and genuine. And the trouble to make a fake is a bit too much... no? Please have a look at the photos and share your thoughts? Thank you in advance. That is 100% a fake! For example - the font in the blind stamp is wrong.
I got conned by a guy there too a couple of years ago. Took a long time to get the money back from PayPal. eBay just passed me to them, and were of no help.
I had to post the item back by registered post to fictitious PO Box address in Israel, and lost €30 on that delivery. Fake item came back to me 4 months later crushed. I just burnt it.
Forget that you like the guy! He is conning people. He is a criminal.
If you bought via eBay or PayPal, go via them first before you return the item. Take photos of packing it, the address, the tracking number, receipt, etc. for postage. Definitely use registered post. The address he gives you will be fake, with a fake, non-existent postcode. Google it when he gives it you, and you'll see!

Last I checked a few hundred quid I think, I have exactly the same as you with pass etc from the Excel. If I find out more I'll let you know.

From what I understand it's meant to be an offset lithograph but I can't find any of the mechanical dots/circles that you'd expect with this. I'm wondering therefore if it's a fake? It is embossed and ink stamped. It has come with a receipt apparently from the actual hotel. I have studied all the other similar hotel receipts I can find online. What I have noticed about mine is that it is the only receipt with the stamp where the writing in pink saying 'The Walled Off Hotel' is to the left of the pink image stamped on there - on all the other receipts I can find online this is the opposite (the pink stamp saying 'The Walled Off Hotel' is always to the right of the pink image stamped on there). If yours is the last one, but there is another one for sale that is the last one, then something is obviously wrong. |

This would be enough for me to consider that this is a reproduction and not legit.

If it’s the one sold by The.art.mart on eBay (who’s pink stamp is described as you say: words to the left of the image) - then a quick search of their feedback shows they have sold over 20+ posters. This would be enough for me to consider that this is a reproduction and not legit. |

And for 50 NIS I also would have bought a lot 😆

However to list them as ‘Last one available’ when they are not leads to question the integrity of the seller and reduces the confidence that they may be legit. However, you could be right. |
