I came across this Tokyo Art Fair 2020 online exhibition at Anzai Gallery. I think that when you see some of his recent works on canvas in a gallery space, you can start to understand why he is so popular with certain collectors. There is no getting away from the Haring 'influence', but I have to admit they look good in the space, and you can imagine living with some of these pieces, especially some of the smaller single colour canvases. They are playful and the proportions are aesthetically pleasing, and if it weren't for the recent spike in prices, I would absolutely buy one to put on the wall!

I didn't realise he used the marker for all of it, even the block colours! Say what you will, the man is dedicated to his craft.
I know it shoudn't matter how an artist dresses, but the doodle outfit is a little distracting.

A lot of Haring's work was made up of symbols/icons that he created and re-used. Each meant something and were used as a story telling language in some cases. Haring's work was also about topics such as Aids, drugs, race and sexuality.
I can see some repeated symbols in Mr Doodles work and would like to know if they mean anything or tell a story.
I did not purchase the print as I would not hang it up, but thanks to FR for giving the heads up. However I really like some of the originals and did consider getting one a few years ago, but now missed that boat.
