Mr Jago π¬π§ Duncan Jago β’ Graffiti Art β’ Art For Sale, by yorkie on Oct 7, 2016 17:32:35 GMT 1, I picked up one of these - I like Mr Jago and am interested to see what this looks like when compared to the other 3 pieces of art I have of his!
I thought the price was good and actually the site to order was really cool - it said where you were in the waitlist before you could add to your cart and then check out.... a nice experience!

Mr Jago π¬π§ Duncan Jago β’ Graffiti Art β’ Art For Sale, by nighthawk on Oct 7, 2016 17:58:10 GMT 1, 1xrun puts out nice looking prints, but most are giclees. They do a good job of packing, and will mark the tube as low value as well. People's only beef with them is that they seem to run their "archive" sales every weekend now, and prints that were once sold out, will most definitely pop back up! So like other galleries, they're keeping a few back from each release and selling at market value down the road. Can't blame them really.

I guess its now become standard practise - which is fine if its a set percentage (say 20-25%) provided its not of an edition of 10!
I do like the fact that GP watch the bay and then try to stop the print being sent to the one flipping it.... that is a positive attitude as there is nothing worse that someone buying a print only to put it on eBay before they have even received it and making money at the expense of someone who failed to get it on-line at the gallery.
Thats life I suspect though!

Mr Jago π¬π§ Duncan Jago β’ Graffiti Art β’ Art For Sale, by Bangksy on Oct 19, 2016 7:30:33 GMT 1, You got lucky (or I got unlucky). This was shipped in the biggest tube I've ever seen. The kraft paper they used is flimsy and got crumbled up since the print was banging back and forth in the tube. One of the print corners got banged up pretty good.

Mr Jago π¬π§ Duncan Jago β’ Graffiti Art β’ Art For Sale, by yorkie on Oct 19, 2016 16:14:11 GMT 1, Hi,
Mine arrived and I can agree it was in a 'massive' tube!!!!
I have to say hats off to 1xrun for the delivery and packaging - the print was surrounded by tissue paper and placed print side down then had some brown paper around that and was much smaller than the tube so plenty of space either end for 'crumple zones'!
The print itself is amazing and for the price (in my opinion) this is a great purchase an will look stunning when its framed along side my other two Mr Jago's!
I notice there was a lot of discussion about 1xrun on this forum and the auction site - this was a smooth transaction delivering a print that is beautiful and for me its a massive thumbs up to them!
I actually will go one step further and say this experience was far more enjoyable than I've had with GP - they tell you where you are in the queue before you can pay and once you get to the payment you have about 5 mins to do it .... so much better than add to cart, go to payment, put in PayPal - go to PayPal and find nothing in your cart .... this is just my opinion.

Well, what you're describing here is a result of BigCartel changing the ability to hold something in a cart, and is not actually indicative of basically any normal GP drop, besides the last two that occurred after the BC change. And GP has been pretty public about working towards a platform that allows for carting again.
(that said, timed carts are their own pain in the ass, and can drag drops on for inordinate amounts of time - there are pluses and minuses to both formats. Timed carts are awesome only if you manage to get what you want in your cart)

I know and agree but that doesn't make it right!
They still release prints whilst the change took place and if BC are changing then lets see what happens. I know GP try to be 'forum friendly' and am a supporter of this but my experience of 1xrun vs recent GP is that 1xrun is better at the moment... its my opinion and I'm sticking to it!
When GP (or BC) change and I go for a print auction at that time I will revise my opinion!
