Always felt like a bit more effort could have gone into the painting of these small pieces.. cool to have a chunk of history but the images are more like a Thierry noir signature than an artwork

So true. I've been checking on him for years..always fully stocked prints and originals...I took him for granted... I even was able to get a discount on a piece..wouldn't have been possible if they were selling well. Then one day everything is GONE! Once post gets made here, it's a wrap.

People may not like that it’s not signed on the actual print but that’s how several of the noir prints they have available on their page. These are photographic prints not silkscreen and that changes everything I think
Good to know. Funny enough they charge more than what the original screenprints used to go for.

I recall prints being fairly priced for years. I hope it isn't hype for his sake as he's a legend, but at least he can reap benefits right now. He's worth supporting and paying extra for his pieces just because of who he is. He's done his time, as they say. Good luck to him. Some lovely heads on here.

this makes me think more and more on how easy to manipulate is the market of an artist.
as dameHoracia said, he TN is a legend, with an wide and deep artistic history. IMO his problem is the representation and the marketing that is needed nowadays to cut make the through on the supply.

He deserves the success, I certainly wouldn’t be purchasing right now during what may likely be a bubble.

So maybe this rush to buy and the raise in prices isn't just forum hype. I'm delighted for him as it's a bloody hard slog as artist. It'll 10k for a canvass in the up and coming exhibitions and that price isn't set in stone supposedly. So I guess he's worth keeping a closer eye on to see how market reacts with the up and coming international exhibitions. Maybe it is his time.

Definitely buy what you like. I almost did a couple of months ago but was hoping a canvas would come up on the secondary market and I’d get it below cost . I think, in the past anyway, people that have bought his stuff have bought it to keep. Such is life, I’ll have to make due with my Thiery Noir shirt. The last few nights he’s posted Berlin Wall chunks for sale late in the evening—check his Instagram if you aren’t already following him—so maybe you’ll luck out and get something from the source.

I myself don't buy anything anymore, if you have bought for years, far below these prices, it is hard to pay 4-8 times these time.
