His works have been available at Kouichi Fine Arts since a long time and just recently sold out due to the fact that the link was shared on this forum. I bet sold to forum members.
To be fair someone mentioned a Japanese book about ThierryΒ΄s work on the Berlin Wall which has been released in the 90s already - so I guess a few people might know him in Japan.
A hype in Asia would be something different... as you can see on his IG statistics.
I always liked ThierryΒ΄s pieces and missed to buy them early on. Maybe because I grew up in Berlin where his works are basically all over the city...
IΒ΄m still a bit pissed that he or better his team bought the few pieces I found online
after I asked for authenticity. This happened to 3 others members as well.... but at least I could secure 2 very early works from the 80s for only 120 EUR each.

Lol ... you have no idea about art management, you pretend that nothing is available. Waiting list etc. that's all kindergarten. If an artist has a very high demand, which is real, there are normal waiting periods, you pay 50% and the rest by finish or sometimes 100% before and wait until it's ready. Or the artist is so overbooked that he says go to the next gallery or there is nothing in stock.
At first we were told that he does not take any orders until the next show, now we hear that his show artworks is sold before.
I want to see pictures from exhibitions where there were people and I see red dots on each artwotk, then we can talk further.
