SOLD, by letterpressed on Aug 7, 2020 20:37:16 GMT 1, With these plates still in existence this whole time, what are the chances they were used to print more than original £1M? Agree with other commenters, if you post it publicly it's now public. impossible, Laz has them all as he keeps churning out more tenners. Knowledge is power You do realise that there is no dark art to Printing these? It’s just another job. Whoever has the artwork (Print ready PDF) can go to any Litho printer and reprint as many Di faced Tenners as they see fit.
If the Printer knew who Banksy was they could have kept the blankets which would have the images on too..

SOLD, by letterpressed on Aug 7, 2020 20:39:01 GMT 1, You can clearly see that the plates have been destroyed with respect to replicating the printing process. didn't notice the folds, but of course we don't know when that was done. Just output a new set of plates, takes approx 10 mins for a set of 4 and you are printing £10 notes again!

SOLD, by Coach on Aug 7, 2020 22:27:10 GMT 1, Well tbf so do i! But then the legal argument would I guess be, did banksy do these with the intention of defrauding people, or were the people who accepted the notes idiots? (Or very clever bearing in mind how much they are worth now) I wasn’t going to mention it tho as was trying to make a point re this particular piece. I revert back to my factual and superior knowledge on this matter. #thosethatknowtheyknowthosethatdontbuypejac
saint is right. You cannot he executed for any crime in Britain.

SOLD, by rockbeer on Aug 8, 2020 8:41:58 GMT 1, Capital punishment for treason was abolished in 1998.
Printing counterfeit money is not treason, I believe it’s covered by the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981.
And Banksy tenners are not counterfeit money anyway - they feature significant and deliberate differences from genuine banknotes.
Given the inaccuracy of these three claims, I guess we can each make our own assessment of hesaverynaughtyboy’s ‘factual and superior knowledge’ (whatever that’s supposed to mean).
Those that know know. Those that don’t probably need to check their sources.

@hesaverynaughtyboy demonstrates perfectly that although « knowledge is power », a smidgen of semi knowledge combined with a dollop of knowledge bias is perfect recipe for being a confident idiot
Not only would you not be hanged for treason, but as correctly stated the artistic licence that has gone into making these (whether the plate, sheet of tenners, or tenners themselves) would be enough grounds to put you far from any accusation of counterfeiting or holding counterfeit currency
