Unfortunately, I don't think an actual contract was in place re: selling. But, I agree it is a big mixup and perhaps you can negotiate getting a crack at some other pieces or maybe a freebie if you decide to purchase? just a thought.

The OI was a beautiful space which had some great shows all very varied and of a high standard. I was at the opening party / Seen private view and got to meet Seen himself which was truly an honour. D*Face is indeed a gent.
Good news is that his intention is to run a few shows, about 4 a year, at various venues around London showing different artists' work. Last I heard he'd found a space somewhere near Brick Lane for the first show. Keep you eyes peeled for that!
