Art Insurance in the UK, by Crime in the City on Apr 10, 2023 11:25:31 GMT 1, I use Brownhill, it seems to be done through Hiscox too. I spoke to both and Hiscox was over ยฃ100 a month and Brownhill was about ยฃ25. Also a much better policy after reading both.

This year their value was above a threshold that required valuations. The insurers said that the valuer needed to physically inspect the pieces before providing the valuation. I was at a loss on how to proceed. Luckily, the people who did the framing of the prints were able to provide a valuation that satisfied the insurers. I did however have to pay 2xvaluation fees, but the valuation is good for 3 years.

It cost ยฃ2,800 last year so dread to guess what my renewal will be. I could offset that with a reduce in cover due to market values but it's still not fun!
Anyone got any suggestions who to approach?

I pay 300 a year and any item I own is insured up until 250K...
That's a standard insurance most people have.
