Ironing Hackney Poster, by bestdj777 on Oct 22, 2020 18:21:10 GMT 1, Just curious whether anyone has tried it, and, if so, whether theyโd share their technique and whether they had any success? I got one in the mail that was damaged in transit and am tempted to try it. But donโt want to mess it up further.

Ironing Hackney Poster, by bestdj777 on Oct 24, 2020 0:55:10 GMT 1, Alright, so I went ahead and tried this on an orange poster that was pretty beaten up. I laid it flat, face down on a clean piece of cardboard, put the iron on low heat, and ironed directly on the poster. Overall, I was impressed. It took it from a really rough copy to something that Iโd feel comfortable having framed and up on my wall. So, my mint copy will likely go in my portfolio and this will be hung at some point.
Note that after having some luck with the back, I put a pillow case over the front and ironed on it. It worked okay as well but left a little shiny spot on one of the black lines where it likely got the paper too hot. So, I wouldnโt iron the front again.
Two notes: 1. I didnโt spray it with water first. 2. I would not recommend doing this if all you have is the mild wrinkles you see on most of the teal ones.

Any before and after pictures?

I was afraid water would mess up the ink here.
