Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by naughtystorm2020 on Nov 10, 2020 17:19:13 GMT 1, There is no Mason Storm and Banksy link other the the gimp mask wearing weirdo directly ripping his art work off and pretending he was going to out him years ago. Mason Storm is a nonity. Bit of hate no ? Nonity is very wrong, Mason is very captain I mean Sensible too Leave him play and paint no ? Well never mind

Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by Viennese on Nov 10, 2020 18:31:54 GMT 1,
Here he says he did not paint Banksy's Monkey Parliament. I don't know the past oh his "(non)relationship" with Banksy (or whether he tried to make it seem as if he painted Banksy's Monkey Parliament) but this just seems like a tribute by a skilled artist. However I can understand that some will hold it against him that he makes money off of Banksy's ideas.

Clear as mud mate.

Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by rosac on Nov 10, 2020 19:48:21 GMT 1, I read this differently.
There’s no way he would be allowed to put his name to the original monkey parliament. These terms would have been agreed when the piece was produced.

Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by brycepen on Nov 10, 2020 20:27:32 GMT 1, To me it’s more about what is art. As we’re all here I think we can agree it’s not the technical skill of urban art that draws us here but the concepts and narratives behind each piece. For this monkey parliament piece if this is a copy of somebody else’s work it isn’t of interest to me. I could buy something technically better if that was what’s important. However if this is actually Masons art then I’d like to support it as it’s a great piece. I hope this makes sense?
I agree in part. Let’s spend a minute talking about what technical skill really means. With enough time spent and a lot of prep work (grid lines, projectors, pre “sketches”, etc. etc.), literally anyone can produce something that appears to involve technical skill. But does it really mean they have great technical skills? No. It means they have a lot of time and patience and probably money.... anyone that “sketches” in artist grade oils is full of crap or doesn’t care about wasting expensive resources. They are also a bit dumb because oils aren’t made for “sketching”.
Things that take skill: 1.) Producing realistic images with speed, freehanded, or using minimal gridding/sketching underneath. 2.) Producing vibrant colors and textures without having to use a thousand types of brushes and more than 5 different tubes of color (excluding black and white). If you can’t mix colors, you don’t have technical skill in my book. 3.) Knowing that a piece of art is in fact a COMPOSITION, not a fractional section of an idea.

Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by hennevey on Nov 10, 2020 21:01:30 GMT 1, Who really cares if MS is part of Banksy’s team who has (re)painted Devolved Parliament?
If you have a couple of millions pounds, make an offer to buy the original (and think to give to charity) If you have a couple of thousands pounds, buy the Bristol museum’s poster from reseller If you have a couple of hundreds pounds and want a print quality, then just buy the one from MS (and spare for the next ones ..if any) If you have a couple of tenners, buy from Amazon
In any event, you’ll land with a visual you like to put on your wall and that’s really what matters most in art imho

Mason Storm 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Who is Mason Storm?, by Lroy on Nov 11, 2020 8:23:24 GMT 1, I would have expected Outis, BNE, Gonefellow, Ted Patrick, Lonelyfarmer and Mrs. Banksy to be enough, but I guess one more life lesson for the UAA crowd won't hurt.
Some names on there are not playing at the same level ?! You cannot put them all nor in the same bag. And I won’t quoting each name separately.. but those who knows ... etc etc ... and some are talented, whatever the artworks, some others not,
And it’s a Little bit enough : leave people buy what their want, on this forum, some are hysteric concerning Mason Storm. Yes we can call it, hate. I know that the man himself and his paintings could irritate and... almost all is not a stencilist. But he exists, has a name, and some here like his artworks ( I saw worst kinda Mikey or Disney caracters includes in prints etc .. still used thousa d of times. Who is still laughing ? Not me ). Per example, Charlie Brown was funny, 200% photoshopped, but what is happening then ? Just an example. Why all the forum was in for that ?! Funny yes fir a kid room as a lot of artworks now.
Concerning the Banksy question - not for MP. - I have my own opinion. With some close mates of him too.

There does seem to be some little differences, this is Masons Instagram image vs the image I took at the Bristol bristol museum last year. Seems like Mason added a monkey or two. Anyone else spot differences? "Where's Monkey"
