By linking his show to banksy he has increased his profile on forums etc Yep, but I don't think its been a positive move  Both might have become liked as good Artists purely on their own work, but they have handicapped themselves by the way they have promoted themselves.
It's all about the media and PR and it worked BIG time!! Got everyone talking.
Jeez, can he paint, he can paint for sure, his fine art work is jaw droppingly good, it was a good show and don't forget other artists were involved in the show too. So overall, it was good

Firslty by presenting himself as someone who's own art, abilities and collection are not strong enough to stand on their own 2 feet, and secondly because he PR and hype was a load of nonsense (ie the unmasking was not an unmasking at all) meaning that we the public have been taken on a wild goose chase for the last 6 months. In addition to that, throw in the abuse and wind ups that he has given out over the past 6 months, a long with the shameless marketing off of banksy's stuff, and you have quite a few people, that despite his talent, would out of principle never ever buy his stuff.
That is a PR and marketing disaster.

You all think I'm a c**t but probably think Mr Brainwash is a genius! Go figure! You are basically annoyed because you thought I was going to out your hero and you were duped, so I suppose I would feel a bit annoyed too, I mean grown men ranting and bitching like school kids!
And Tony I told you to behave, amazing how you are so vitriolic on here but so kind and heartfelt as your other alter ego on FB (like I dont know LMAO)

i think that's really harsh. I've been to gallery 90 a few times and found their collection there to be great. Big fan of Penny (bought one of his pieces), i think T.WAT has some amazing pieces, and Dan Innes has some good ideas. the staff are super nice and approachable, chatty and helpful. I didn't go to the Mason Storm thing, but Gallery 90, imo, is certainly worth a visit.

The guy who did the original image JPS got a call from the Old Bill on Tuesday or Wednesday as someone had grassed him up for putting work up around his hometown.
Anyway this addition turned up on his piece this morning!
Culd be someone taking the piss, could be someone pranking him or could be a show of solidarity from Mr B? I dont know, but I do know JPS is well known to Mr B as am I and not for the best of reasons, but would he show support for another artist in this way? Not in my experience! LOL

I like the original piece and like the rework. No idea if it is him or not, but the rat looks pretty good so theres a chance. The added letters look similar to banksys style also.
Did he not show support to Tox with his Tox piece then? Personally i wouldnt worry too much about yourself there mason, i know everything has to be about you, but in this case i dont think it is.

I hate to say though that I don't think, well I KNOW that the addition is not by Banksy.

I was just wondering what the consensus was on Mason Storm, I just did some browsing on the guy, and am really digging what he does... Is there a reson he gets virtually no airtime on the boards??
