It looks like the message is aimed at the original goals and thoughts of Banksy, that Mason feels the appropriation of childhood images with themes of war is cliched and always was, therefore by showing it themselves they are in some way enlightening everyone else.
It is somewhat shallow and fails to hit the mark really. Instead looking more like it was Mason himself lacking the inspiration, falling into the trap they are trying to highlight by using Banksy imagery in the very way they themselves were looking to mock Banksy for using childhood/ war imagery.
