i have an original petrol head version of this promo cd which matches this pink hand print totally except for the image.
all i am looking for are thoughts on the subject, i have never seen it before and it seems no one else has! is there anyone that has seen it, knows about it or can give me a heads up on someone or somewhere i can find out why it came about.

it all looks rather ill-thought through regarding ordering/ preordering blur.co.uk website address but preorder via amazon.com and when you click on the link it takes you to a generic blur search on amazon.com rather than the specific album - so not really pre order at all.
some of the old guard music business haven't quite got their heads around this interweb thingy have they.
but you can 'like' them on facebook though - so that's ok.

Love the Petrol Head image. Banksy was not yet famous when these were made, don't envision him having a Koons / Murakami style team stamping these things out for him.
But who knows, maybe some record label interns or Blur groupies did them.
Totally cool objects.
If you can get one cheap I'd do it.

Some upside down, and at least one where the stamper(s) missed most of the CD and partially stamped the right of the sleeve. It's a 2-part stamp too. So there's a possibility for variations out there.

I have the well known Blur 'Think Tank' petrol head hand printed promo CD which most people know about. But just before Christmas I acquired a second version of the promo that doesn't have the usual design, instead it has a childs hand print in pink on the front (hopefully you can see the image I have attached to the thread). Dr Plip soooo long ago, any reason why you just quoted that post? There was another pink hand version on ebay a year or so ago. They had it listed as the only one they knew off, so I messaged them and said I had one but no more informationโฆ they amended their listing to say another one was out there.
