I know nothing of the provenance of the poster, but given the shadows at the bottom it's simply a reproduction of a photograph of the original piece with text, with no additional art direction from the record company.

Tristan you'll probably know from Stencil Graffiti and various other books. This is one of 15 or so works that Tony printed out. So not a Banksy as such. Kinda like printing out a Stone Roses cover and claiming it's an authentic John Squire work. Chances of a COA are zero so...ok as a souvenir I guess, it's a bootleg poster worth a couple of hundred quid.

If the whole field is aware of a hand sprayed Royksopp record cover from 2001, it's inconceivable that this wouldn't have been flagged in the last 20 years. |

The giclee up for auction, was produced from the cover artwork. Parlophone asked us to provide artwork for 100 prints, that were going to be signed by Blur and given as gifts. Now I'm not 100% sure this ever happened. The giclee up for auction is an AP - to check paper and for colours etc.

Possible, I worked in music biz until 2010 - Tommy Boy, Atlantic Records, Matador, Death Row and more, often when working with an artist of early note on the cover art stuff like this was done, for contests, promotions, and key people involved.
