As for the first, even if that turned out to be the case Iโd sooner have the money stashed safe somewhere and be in a position to argue about it than left with no money, no print, and no prospect of redress.

Help need selling my Banksy, by avec art on Nov 8, 2020 21:43:38 GMT 1, Most of the sellers would prefer to do Private deals to avoid paying tax but this could be more costly if the transaction goes wrong , would it not be safer for both parties to facilitate a sale through a Law firm / solicitor and split the costs ? cheaper than fees through an auction house ? I don't think a private deal excludes you from the responsibility to declare a taxable event, or am I missing something
