I haven't listed some misc pieces like Exhibition books, Clothing, merch bits, yet.

There's a great looking exhibition on at la Pinacothèque de Paris entitled 'Pressionism: the Masterpieces of Graffiti on Canvas from Basquiat to Bando'.  The show features nearly a hundred canvases by the pioneers of graffiti painted between 1970 and the 1990s.  It's a really impressive line up including Rammellzee, Mode2, T-Kid170, Futura, Lady Pink, Phase 2, Basquiat, Dondi, Taki183, Haring, JonOne, Lee Quiñones, Crash and Seen.  The exhibition opened this weekend and runs through until 13 September 2015:

A must see IMO

Lee Quiñones features on 'A Latino History of Hip-Hop' which has just gone out on US radio and which you can listen to here.  The whole radio documentary is worth a listen but if you've only got 15 minutes then the section on Lee and graffiti starts about 45 minutes in.  Here's some photos from his website of the Howard The Duck handball wall and one of his 125 whole-cars to ogle while you listen:

Thats 2 legends in 1 hit, have been meaning to grab this Rammellzee interview on vinyl for a while, have just picked it up with the futura print / vinyl. I need a better understanding of Gothic Futurism! Looking forward to receiving both..

Legendary hip-hop MC and graffiti artist Rammellzee was utterly unique. A friend and adversary of Jean-Michel Basquiat, with whom he recorded the seminal and hugely influential ‘Beat Bop’(a highlight of Charlie Ahearn’s film Style Wars), Rammellzee's graffiti and art work are based on his theory of Gothic Futurism, which describes the battle between letters and their symbolic warfare against any standardizations enforced by the rules of the alphabet.

Rammellzee performed in self-designed masks and costumes of different characters which represented the "mathematical equation" that is Rammellzee. On the basis of his Gothic Futurism approach, he described his artistic work as the logical extension into a new phase which he calls Ikonoklast Panzerism.

Mo’ Wax boss James Lavelle had been introduced to Rammellzee in NY by Futura and had flown him to London with the intention of collaborating on an early UNKLE record with Major Force (the result of which was ‘Rock On’, which then because a collaboration with Beastie Boys/Beck producers, the Dust Brothers).

“He was my favorite rapper,” says Lavelle, “having recorded the seminal track ‘Beat Bop’ - released, produced and designed by Jean-Michel Basquiat - arguably the greatest and most influential rap record of all time.”
