KAWS, by duffer31 on Nov 12, 2020 15:26:15 GMT 1, I don't get it. At all. Are people actually going to hang these on the wall or are they just buying to flip? If flip, I guess I get it. Otherwise, I'm at a loss, it seems like he's just gobbling up money with repetitive releases.ย Edit: I'll add that there's obviously something I'm missing here since damn near everyone on this forum is eager to drop $4k+ on these.ย Half this forum is people throwing money at whatever is hyped. Kaws, Banksy, Murakami, abloh, arsham, oli epp, Jonas Wood, etc.
Whatโs the other half buying?

Personally I'm buying artists I've discovered (often through fellow forum members) on Instagram, as well as some local Atlanta based artists. My last 5-6 purchases have all been artists that are completely off the radar of most people.
If I had the cash, I'd probably go for a Jonas Wood canvas as I absolutely love his style, but the VOTE print is the closest I'm going to get.

The other half might actually be feeling the effects of a global pandemic and recession or selling off their art to get through it. Hard to believe so many people here are vying for the opportunity to spend ยฃ3-4K. Nice to know the 1% is still doing well.

KAWS, by instinct on Nov 13, 2020 11:07:05 GMT 1, Hi All,
My apologies something has come up with my business meaning I can no longer create the space to get this done in the way that I had anticipated.
At the very least what we have here is a bunch of people who are interested in joining together to make a purchase viable in the event that someone gets lucky. Oh and we also have a bunch of people who have joined the thread simply to rock the boat... often I have found in my experience on this forum tat these people who are never going to catch up.
On the basis of where Iโm up to, I advise that anyone who fancies a part set chucks in for the lottery and in the event that they come up good. Check back in here and ORGANISE. Note there is three business days from initial contact to required payment๐
Thanks to those people who brought positivity to the table, and for those who reasonably challenged and questioned. For the others, thanks for reminding me of why I now commit very little time to this board.
Peace out people and all the best ๐๐๐๐

When they say 17.25 x 12 inches, does that count the white border around the image you think?
If so, the actual image on this print must be smaller than any Brooklyn or MOCAD print.

Yes, rich people wear cheap clothes too. What relevance does that have here. Is there a lesson there? Like, Iโm supposed to say good on them for slumming it? Because rich people can dress like poor people, donโt judge them?
Honestly, your response seems to further solidify my point. Iโm just stating the facts: very few people can readily spend $3-4K on a print, and even fewer would see spending ยฃ3-4k on this as an opportunity to jump onto right now. Funny how oblivious you are to that.

I am not, I see plenty of ppl that see an inv opp. though. Hard working non 1%s, same people that saw opps in the stock market, non 1%s.. like I said, regardless of your perceived facts, there are 7billion other perspectives out there, there are ppl who save up, ppl who are single, ppl working min wage who have no expenses outside of their housing and utility bills, who spend their money on nothing, who happen to love art and spend their savings on art or collectibles or stocks in the market..i know loads like that..who wait for opportunity and act at the right time... if you looked at my past comments when I mentioned NIO in another thread and acted on that name drop...you would have made a load of monies. Yours truly, 99%er

I understand your point as I am one of those people... the single ones that donโt make a lot, but make enough to buy art they love. While I appreciate your effort to give information that many could profit from, you are in the minority here. Most people here are in the game to make money, not share the opportunity to make money. Accordingly, it would be naive of me to rely on the investment advice of you or anyone else here I donโt know.

I see my participation here as more of a bizarre sociological experiment rather than a victim of a pyramid scheme. We are all part of the grand pyramid scheme whether we like it or not.

KAWS, by duffer31 on Nov 14, 2020 8:12:04 GMT 1, Donโt join the UAA Pyramid scheme. I see my participation here as more of a bizarre sociological experiment rather than a victim of a pyramid scheme. We are all part of the grand pyramid scheme whether we like it or not.
Too early in the morning for deep discussions. Iโm off to watch the excitement in the WOH credit card payment pending thread.

KAWS, by Blissy on Nov 16, 2020 12:06:54 GMT 1, Trust is the key word here. My feeling though as I said is that one shot with a coordinated message to support the application (perhaps via a note on the application) is the best way to get this done โ
Donโt get me wrong itโs a great idea and kudos for offering to oversee it. Just thinking out loud if there was any way to make it a bit more transparent for all involved but I think it would be tough. Good luck all involved. this silly cunt knows nothing and has nothing interesting to say heโs a melt
