Artist Plate Project 2020, by Winter on Jan 30, 2021 19:50:51 GMT 1, Personally think the Rashid Johnson and Ruscha ones are best. Having seen what people will pay for Nara posters the edition plate will be the one to have value wise.

Artist Plate Project 2020, by orchid on Jan 30, 2021 19:53:19 GMT 1, Nina Chanel abney sold for £415. Not as good a flip as predicted, apart from the Nara. Will see how the Ruscha and Johnsons do when they hit eBay. Don’t think any of them will flip well other than Nara.
The Ruscha is up there, can see £3-4k at least eventually at auction. I know of one sold before arrival for 2k privately. Especially it being very true to the style of the original work.

Limited edition Ruscha, less than £400? Where else does such a thing exist? (And a strong image to add) Piece of paper, rug, skate deck, sculpture..... plate

For sure someone will list theirs on eBay for under $1000, so easy steal for you. It’s an unsigned plate and I’m not jealous or hating as I’ll have one whenever they ship these things You need to go to school. It does not matter what you or I personally think they are worth. It is up to the market.

Artist Plate Project 2020, by rosac on Jan 31, 2021 8:26:48 GMT 1, I don’t understand how ppl across the pond are getting their plates before ppl in the states... aren’t they shipping from NY?
When will my order ship? We anticipate fulfilling the majority of orders by the end of January. We are only shipping complete orders. Due to production delays, orders containing plates by any of the following artists will not ship until February:
Charles Gaines Ed Ruscha Eddie Martinez Wade Guyton Yoshitomo Nara

I do have to question your intention when buying these. Your only interest seems to be eBay prices, what about buying a great piece of art for $175 and enjoying it and helping to improve people’s homeless situation?
These are all great value and wonderful artists. They were never a quick eBay flip. These artists don’t really trade on that platform. In 5 years some will be worth a lot of money but that’s not the point of buying these surely?
Maybe you should stick to buying eBay artists?

All you seem to talk about is auction prices for the Nara and how you have 20 of these on the way

99% of what I say on here is to get a nibble. I do have 19 plates coming to be precise and 4 naras. I know there is value in that, but it wasn’t the real reason I bought. It’s good art for a good cause. That was my only motivation.

There are a lot of rich people buying art.
You think Hauser, pace, hufkens, gagosian etc are struggling to find buyers with money? They are queuing up but you can’t just phone these people and get what you want.
It takes effort and a lot of it.

I’m 100% selfish . I’m not even going to deny it.
You buy as many naras as you can get, everytime!
4 that won’t get flipped is a win..

Or you poor thing. It must be SO hard when you can’t always experience instant gratification, especially when everything you want isn’t just a phone call away. Sometimes you have to stand in lines and stuff to spend money. Brutal.
