So it's still the 'First edition', just not what book collectors call a True first (first print of the first edition). For it to be a 'Second edition' there have to be some changes to the content. I doubt that will be the case this short after the original release.

Perhaps without the dust jacket and just some text saying the 2nd edition. This will mean if you have the first edition you probably don’t need the 2nd. Releasing a completely new cover or any different pictures inside just creates more hype and more secondary sales which Invader looks to be trying to prevent to increase his income (quite rightly too) But where he has previously released different editions, there has been some differences which make them worthwhile collecting. The 3 editions of the first Paris book 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 (documenting PA001-PA500) contain different pictures which makes them all slightly different. There won't be any difference.. Just maybe written second edition....

Anyway it will still be a mess for foreigners : buying on the Space Shop, but no Paypal ( I hope that he won't put any stickers in the second run, as I won't buy it again there ) , Amazon won't sell it ( Invader won't change his politic about ), Price of the shipping + Vat etc... Because shipping for UK/USA is really expensive, long and messy ( vat etc )
In fact, it will be a second run but there will still people buying some per dozens, to keep them for better prices, swap, or flip...

I think we are both in the same club, I send emails to each drop since the djerba map release to get the chance to get a signed item from invader. I was never lucky enough apparently

Very simple:
On the space shop, planned 500, sold 800 or more.
For his Asian market (Oti and his gallery), the other half,
For his exhibition, surely a good number too, and above all, he had to honor all the "good booksellers" who ordered some (and who are in fight against Amazon and Fnac), and finally, he also had to honor orders from on line sites like Dennis ' one ( legrandjeu aka soldArt ) , Decitre, Cultura ( he could not delivered some and reimbursed). It could kill all these bookstores that have to live too !!
It is not a story of saving souls and flipping - after each one does what he wants -, but indeed, a mathematical story, he got caught at his own game and has been victim of his success. Good for him, he wins in popularity.
But hey 2000 or 4000 more, will not change anything, this book will still be sold out and will always make people unhappy (like the LA which had remained online long enough and which became, 6 months after a collector) ...
- for those who are fed up to read me, there are a lot, you can bump/jump the rest of the post, I only speak of me ! * on the pic my New Year Eve this year..

So bad that it even made me order the Miami map from Jonathan Levine. Interesting to see the edition numbers for all the books and maps too, made me appreciate my 'Alias' catalog even more seeing there's only 300 of them.
Seeing how he's grouped all the printed material (books and catalogues) is going to give me the same feeling 😑 I'm also a lucky holder of the Alias catalogue! I can't believe there are only 300...! Can I ask if it was fedex delivered?
