Invader favorite print, by Alban Google on Nov 29, 2020 4:08:15 GMT 1, Space series love them, RVE for all the invaders and the size (but black/white is missing a bit of fun), half little big space of course (maybe my favorite one! (When you see the real one in Paris and then the print it’s something!) Love also the Aladdins. As someone said before there are so many great prints from Invader it’s hard to choose... can’t wait to get the book and see all of them

Invader favorite print, by Mass on Nov 29, 2020 7:08:37 GMT 1, I concluded my search for my first invader with the purchase of RVE in the summer. Found availability of any invader print scarce. When it arrived I was blown away by it. Great size and which other image has the space invader prominence of RVE? I do agree with the above comment on colour, if that’s important that RVE isn’t for you but for me prints are about the image! I see hidden have an RVE for sale at 10750 if anyone want to join to club!

Invader favorite print, by Lazarus II on Nov 29, 2020 15:51:56 GMT 1, Superb! My other Invaders cheers, both purchased from good members on here. Bought the grey framed and a few months later i bought the silver in a clear case and MFM picked it up directly from seller. MFM then framed it as per the grey print. The framing isnt identical but the difference is barely noticeable.

especially when both sit next to each other :-)
both are really gems for me, because they are the only ones, which are printed not in a geometric form

Whats the story with this? The cover print was going to be an edition or is this a test print for the cover?

Invader favorite print, by gimmeabreak on Nov 30, 2020 15:04:40 GMT 1, Invader’s prints are for the most part self-published works made in conjunction with different exhibitions and actions. But it is important to note that from 2005 to 2015 he collaborated with the acclaimed London publisher and printer Pictures on Walls (POW), which was dedicated to producing and promoting street art as original print editions. Working with POW, he enhanced his prints through a special relief printing technology, which allowed him to bring out the image’s mosaic-like structure as well as each individual pixel.
Invader’s work expresses his interest in the beginnings of the digital world’s pixelated visualization and the gradual acceptance of the different devices that have radically changed our reality. The television screen, the computer monitor, and the smartphone are just a few such devices that have shaped and influenced the image of popular art, culture, entertainment, computer games, and our modes of personal communication. Most of his prints reflect this concern and are connected to his study of the basic types of the main figures and characters from the early period of video games and visual representation in the digital world. In connection with Invader’s revival of these popular characters, we cannot but notice his interest in pixels and a lo-fi aesthetic, whose retro look takes us nostalgically back to the history and beginnings of digital imagery design; in this way it preserves an interest in this part of our cultural and technological heritage.
In 2017, as part of the exhibition Hello, My Game Is …, Invader published a screen print with the interesting and evocative title Repetition, Variation, Evolution. Featuring one of the basic characters from his mosaic work, it can be understood as a manifesto. It illustrates his work process, as with only small modifications in the execution or construction of the character, it points to the quantity, multiplicity, and abiding presence of his idea.
His “Rubikcubist” prints are in a particular category. Using a palette limited to the colours of the well-known Rubik’s cube, they present his work on iconic images from famous album covers (Rubik Low Fidelity), which are joined by works based on the world of art history (Rubik Masterpieces) and carefully selected frames of villainous characters (Rubik Bad Men). The series shows the versatility of his method of simplifying motifs, which can turn almost any image into a specific type of visualized picture composed of only six colours.
The last major category of prints include those in which Invader applies his general concept of invading different kinds of spaces, both physical and mental. This can mean placing characters into famous artworks, such as the prints of Edvard Munch, or the series he created for his Art4space project, when he succeeded in having one of his mosaics sent into the stratosphere. Here we can also place prints in which Invader’s characters are hidden in an apparently abstract binary image. When he places his characters into an already existing visual image, this act of piracy changes the content of the original message in a way that makes it more vivid, direct, and clear: This is an invasion.

Wish I kept it i owned one for years and loved it (i had it framed perfectly i thought which helps- seen a lot of awful frame jobs on this print) and i actually liked the smaller embossing effect for a change. my only complaint is you want to call it one, is that its hard for non invader phans to decipher the invader in the bubble.

Invader favorite print, by Dexter Bulldog on Dec 4, 2020 3:04:10 GMT 1, Just got these back from the gallery today. Was selling them but decided to keep for long term. It's nice to have them back! I really missed them.
Funny I always thought led and rve were same size. I never looked just assumed. I started out liking led more. Then lately decided I don’t like it at all. But seeing it that size I kinda like it again. Still think rve is the best print he’s done in a while. I just lump those two together as they were released close to each other
