Those would do a lot better in Germany with an ALDI flag.

What is? Respected gallery representation. "Important" collectors, and original works being in "important collections". Museum acquisitions and retrospectives. Consistent growth in auction results. Just to name a few. None are guaranteed marks for success, but good luck finding many artists that don't check those boxes and are successful, long term.

As someone posted above, there are more than enough buyers willing to shell out for his prints. That's all the "success" he needs. His print market is a separate entity.
