"In 2023, mumok will present New York artist Adam Pendletonโs first comprehensive solo exhibition in Europe. Pendletonโs painting is a continuous index in which gestures are recorded, transposed, and overwritten. Since 2008 he has articulated much of his work through the idea of Black Dada, an ever-evolving inquiry into the relationship between Blackness, abstraction, and the avant-garde. In his paintings, drawings, and other works, a visual philosophy of incomplete postulates emerges, flattening the distinctions between legibility and abstraction, past and present, familiar and strange."
With a beautiful poster, designed by David Wise.

Sure. Framing a book is no problem at all. Will it just be a very basic doodle over a printed cover or a brand new 9x13 inch painting? H Mmmm No. He cut 40 different stencils (as large as the cover of the catalogues, approx. 9x13 inch) and spraypainted 40 new covers. |

H Mmmm The small print lies on top of the book cover. As far as I know (I saw a few small clips of the books being produced) the small print isnโt attached/glued to the spraypainted cover. |
