I was excited when I first saw the covers and nearly pulled the trigger yesterday then realised you are paying an extra $900 for some simple stencilled shapes youโd find in a nursery. I really wanted that small print seated nicely within an embossed section to also be hand finished. Love Pendleton but this could have been betterโฆpackaging looks top notch though!

The 40 spraypainted (not stencilled) book covers are perfectly in line with this work, even though they are relatively simple geometric shapes. Below are a few examples from the show's catalogue. |

All good. Compared to the artspace $2500 Rashid Johnson and Kaws, these are similar in physical size, more than half the edition size, and each unique, AND half the price... AND Adam has a stronger, more varied and urgent visual thing going on (than KAWS and Rashid) IMHO. So yes, bargains.

I still think for the cost though, these could have been more intricate.
Perhaps using the entire cover as a blank canvas for multiple layers of stencils / shapes similar to what you have referenced without a postcard on the front.
This version is best example I have seen... anyway, I'm not the artist.

Excuse my ignorance, I'm not familiar with this style of work from A.P I still think for the cost though, these could have been more intricate. An edition print of a similar size by Adam would likely be worth as much or more. That said, itโs a nice collector item |

Have this beautiful hand-painted Jorge Galindo book. Each cover one panel from a massive canvas. Thick juicy oil paint.
Delivered by publisher in this canvas bound display case (has plexi window for when shut).
Substantial and beautiful. About A3 size.
