Fwiw I spent a week researching and contacting galleries in search of a piece. No less than 50 emails back and forth with several galleries. In doing so I saw only a few cobras in smaller/medium canvases. Most are 40โx30โ and up. I ended up getting a 40โx30โ flower pot piece from pt2 Gallery. The gallery rep Brock was a pleasure to deal with. Hereโs a link of the Jordy works they have available. They had some small to medium cobra pieces but they seem to all be sold except for one, โCominโ for your loveโ

Not sure on current availability or if prices have risen since then but gives you an idea. Hope that helps.

At the Piermarq exhibition in November the pricing went something like 100cm x 80cm approx ยฃ4000, a larger piece say 120cm x 100cm ยฃ6300 and 190cm x 170cm ยฃ13000 or thereabouts. Not sure on current availability or if prices have risen since then but gives you an idea. Hope that helps. |

10 years ago, you wouldnโt have really heard of someone like Jordy, but IG has really changed the art world (for the better) for artists like him.
I think itโs cool, but will be very interesting to see how all these โemergingโ artists fit into the cannon, as there sure are a lot more of them! Hopefully thereโs room for everyone ๐ฌ

I wish the absolute best for every artist out there, and hope they all have long and successful careers, but garagespace makes a valid point in that if people buy to try and profit quickly, it could potentially ruin the artist's career.

Yeah he does. Maybe his galleries should encourage tighter supply. Itโs a balance I suppose. You need collectors with deeper pockets willing to acquire the works at higher prices if you start pulling back on supply.
