I was looking at this Kaws post last night and thought if I could make $14k for entering a lottery making a payment. Then posting a thread followed by a few questions and answers would i do it. Answer is yes I think I would! I don't care for the artist, in my mind he is grabbing cash at a quite astonishing rate and while he is I don't see any reason why anyone else shouldn't make some off the back of him.
To me it's not even art anymore. He'll probably release another 40 items of some kind in the next couple of months and make a another $10m. Kaws soap dispenser anyone?
If I won a Banksy in raffle and could sell and make $100k plus again would I do it? no, I don't think I would. I would keep as long as I possibly could. There's a story behind it, it's art. I'd want to hang it

There are services that you can use (www.escrow.com) to hold the funds until the transaction is complete. Or you can sign contracts or figure out other ways to trust the transaction...

I’m good with that. Seeing as how in the 20+ years Kaws has been releasing prints they’ve not once resold for source price or less, I’ll gladly revisit this in a year. Not to mention individual prints are already selling for $4,000-4700, and that’s with all the flippers, who can’t afford to hold, inundating the market.
Once those that need to recoup and pay off that $30k cc bill sell, and the sets find their way into collectors’ hands, these will dry up. It’s happened time and time again, not sure why you think that would change. If anything, the smaller dimensions of this set makes it more appealing and easier to frame and hang all 10. Not to mention, chum.
