These prints were part of about 20 different editions directly provided by Bridget to help offset the cost of her show in Edinburgh late last year - the funds raised go directly to the gallery. I picked a couple of early edition prints up at the time - I'd agree these Arcadia variations are probably slightly weaker images - but still a brilliant price considering physical size, edition size and the framing. If you are looking to source from a private gallery or dealer you'd be paying £5k plus. Interestingly Riley has used this fund raising approach in the past - her first major show at the Hayward in 1971 had 'Elongated Triangles' in a range of colour ways available to purchase from the cloakroom (!) - all funds again offset some of the costs of the show.

I emailed her last week and have heard nothing. They are usually prompt to reply so think we can assume BRS is currently closed. Best to wait - assume they will pick up emails on their return.....

Think there are a few Riley fans on here so thought I would flag she has a new print out. Looks like she may be selling her old prints now through Cristea Roberts Gallery too....

This exhibition follows Riley’s critically acclaimed 2019 painting retrospective at the Hayward Gallery, London and the National Galleries of Scotland, Edinburgh.
