Feel fortunate to have the full set secured as they will look great on the wall
I believe only a handful of sets have been sold so it’s nice to have them all together with matching numbers etc as that calms my art OCD slightly

These recent smaller edition 2022 Intervals once again provide proceeds to the National Gallery of Scotland. Very generous gesture on BRs part, but I read recently her first solo show in London (1971, also the Hayward) sold her editions of ‘Elongated Triangles’ from the cloakroom(!) to offset costs for the gallery, so it’s a model she has returned to over 50 years….

I previously picked up a couple of Riley’s from BRS when her major retrospective was on in Edinburgh (before it ended up in London) - they were from a selection of previously released prints directly from BRs archive; the monies from these I believe went to the National Gallery of Scotland to help fund the show. Intervals 1&2 followed - I think they were released on the preview night of the London version of the show - which (despite having an invite😳) I didn’t attend because I’d just been to Edinburgh - stupid mistake as I missed out! When you consider her profile within the contemporary art world, I still think that there’s some way to go in terms of value. Appreciate her work is not everybody’s cup of tea, but if you begin to read (and there is plenty of literature available) about her methods and processes, particularly on the psychology of colour and how different forms interact with each other, it’s clear she is nothing less than a genius……I’ve mentioned it before but if you get a chance to see the recent BBC programme on her work it’s an informative and eye opening watch.
