Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by JKW on Mar 9, 2010 0:39:20 GMT 1, I seem to remember Mr Josh Keyes was selling some of his lovely prints a few weeks back at a price not much more than the TO poster, also helping the haiti cause... guess what, prints arrived in mint conditon within a week from the US! I bet Josh gets the donation out to haiti quicker than TO as well.

yep and they arrived in good condition as i remember.
did not buy one but this is the sort of shit you should not have to put up with. its going to haiti, yes... but on the other hand they are selling the magazine for £13 which is £10 above normal and that poster is not worth £10, its worth about 20p in printing terms so tell me who is making the money here.

I bet Josh gets the donation out to haiti quicker than TO as well. good point. yes but did you get a magazine with it? ;D Has that Time out guy who is a member had anything to say about the problems fellow members have had because of his work mate? To be fair, i have ordered a few posters in the last year and around 70% of them come with damage, most of the time it's because the Muppets who rolled them, did not do so correctly and the poster was damaged when they put the caps on the tubes. I think they must think customers are not picky about the condition, BUT WE ARE!!! well i am anyway. and why has it took so long to post them out?

You both are missing the fact that people have the right to an opinion. You do have an opinion yet so do I and I am just as entitled to voice mine over what I see as the childish behaviour of grown men throwing toys of their prams on a mob mentality scale. Monkeyart, pm me, let’s get a room, you sound fun!
!) Many people have damaged posters. This is unfortunate and should be put right. Although it does not make up for the problem, Time Out are a listings magazine who are not familiar with selling, packaging posters. To be honest I am surprised the posters were not sent out folded along with the magazine and am sure Time Out are now thinking the same thing.
2) Magazine is a week out of date I am sure Timeout have been unprecedented with demand for this issue. I am also sure that 99% of people who bought the online special edition did so primarily for the Banksy interview. If Londoners wanted to see listings they would have either bought the regular edition or maybe checked online whilst waiting for the special edition. People outside of London only bought to read the interview and whilst they are waiting to read the paper copy can read a digital one here www.timeout.com/london/art/article/863/banksy
3) Time out told fibs more than once about edition sizes It is a magazine/cheap poster, not a signed hand pulled screenprint on heavy paper. If they are giving proceeds to Haiti I hope they decide to make the posters completely unlimited and continue to sell them.
4) Proceeds to Haiti was only mentioned a lot later on
Regardless of this proceeds are being given to the Haiti earthquake relief fund.
5)Time out are f*&*&"g people around with regards to refunds. Shame on these people considering the price of these and where the money is going. I will quote you regarding the Shep Haiti print
I think everyone who has not contributed to the Haiti relief fund SHOULD buy this print. If you do not like it, flip it again and give the other proceeds to Haiti. I would love to see how much one print can make, selling it again and again. By the way, I bought it! ...rings quite true here as well although maybe people should just bin the posters as the quality of them looks pretty damn poor.
So let people have their say without calling people names and offending. Some middle aged suburban people have earned the right to an opinion............ You have, sleep tight and be thankful we are not living in a society where a 15 year old girl can be shot by the Police for looting three pictures.

Media was always one of my favourite images from the LA show, such a shame it never made it to print as would have been such a great release. Maybe Banksy could release this in commemoration??

Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by schlomo on Mar 9, 2010 15:03:06 GMT 1, Wow this thread went downhill fast.
I understand both sides to the argument, it is after all a crap poster with timeouts logo on it. However let me put it like this. If i ordered a burger from maccy d's for 79 p (do they still do burgers for 79p??) and they tried to serve it to me looking like it had been drop kicked around the place and then kicked over to the til, i'd ask for another one. If they couldnt give me another one i'd ask for my money back.
Theres no difference here IMO.
On another note, and without meaning to rub noses in it, mine arrived today in good condition (some slight creasing but nothing to bad). I bought three, one for myself, one for Wearology and one for a mate who has decided he doesn't want it now (not a fan of the timeout logo). So if anyone wants one in good condition to replace their damaged one pm me and its yours.
Peace and love to all. Lets all get some herb in this eve and have a group chillax.

Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by caddyshack on Mar 9, 2010 17:38:06 GMT 1, i bought 2 posters and they aren't too bad. they both have a slight crease mark on the bottom corner, but i don't really care. for the sake of £20, i am going to frame one in a cheap frame and stick it on the wall somewhere. the other can stay in the tube for my grand-children as in investment. it may actually be worth something by then (unless it bio-degrades..) i am going to have a big party when the mags arrive (the weather should have warmed up consideably by then too).
i think this whole episode is a shambles. time out have cocked up big time and i have no doubt that his thread will have another 20 pages before it finally ends. as for me, everytime i walk past my cheap banksy poster, i'll smile and remember all the hastle that went into supplying a simple magazine and cheap poster..
