He had unknowingly got hold of 6 dodgy posters from 'Nick' at Tate Ward, and one of them was inadvertently sold to me. Luis was great. He admitted the mistake, and refunded me more cash than I was owed (He rounded the invoice up), issued an apology and even sent me a free Banksy Walled Hotel Palestine poster (with receipts). That is customer service!
In light of that service, I will getting in touch when it comes to eventually selling one or both of my Banksy prints (VLH signed) and Bomb Middle England (Unsigned).

What I do currently have an issue with is this other gallery who sold me a fake, who are still not refunding unless I return the Anarchist flyer that should have come with the fake poster (back in July) but which was subsequently sent to me.
I said I would be keeping the flyer as some form of compo - as I was sold a fake and therefore couldn't resell the poster for profit. They agreed, but are now demanding I send the flyer back before they refund.

Why would you not also return the flyer? It's almost certainly fake too.
(But I also don't know why they'd need it back!)

We have spoken to Ray Swann of the Metropolitan Police Art and Antiques Unit. Obviously this is a public forum as such we cannot into full detail here. Luis was actually sold 4 ( not 6 of these ) and it was last year - not ten years ago (!!!) and we agreed between us that I would of course bear the cost of any refunds and ( in the same way both myself / Tate Ward have done the same for others affected) - these costs have also included shipping/framing, etc etc.
As Danny mentioned in another thread we contacted the police at an early stage and urge anyone else who has been affected to do the same - this is of course why Danny posted the Police department and officer concerned in the first place.
Due to this matter being part of a police investigation for obvious reasons I am not going to make any further comment and once again if you feel you have been affected and not been contacted then please do get in touch.
What is clear as mentioned early on in a previous thread is that there were fakes of these sold almost as soon as they were released so please only get in touch if they came from myself / Tate Ward !!!
What I can say is that myself / Tate Ward have never sold any Banksy Tesco to Stowe Gallery who incidentally have both consigned and bought through Tate Ward and have been great to deal with.
