Where did you get it framed? Museum glass in the end - its going be hung in an out of the way spot and the acrylic was getting really expensive (even more expensive). It was framed by a guy near to me in Surrey who does all my framing - can give you his details if you want. He's used the hanging rails top and bottom so that there's no glue or anything sticky holding it but its not flapping around either

Ha - may have to use Acrylic (which I really don’t like) in order to save structural issues years down the line.
Will post when framed.

Damien Hirst H9 • The Virtues, by Amber Halo on Apr 26, 2021 20:59:25 GMT 1, This looks brilliant. Did you notice if the ant-reflective glass reduces the reflection in the panel itself? Just delivered. Now I’ve got to work out how to get it on the wall without it pulling my house down! It doesn't. Just went through that drill with my framer on a different Heni release by holding up a large sample piece of AR acrylic in front of it. You still see the glare of the actual piece (and even a little glare off of the AR acrylic itself, so it's as if you are creating two reflection points.) The AR acrylic would have doubled the cost of the framing alone (in the US), so it was probably in the framer's self interest to nudge me that way. But it was a strong recommendation not to do it (for glare purposes), and they'd only recommend the use of standard UV protection acrylic to protect the face of the artwork itself. In the end I went with just an open white tray mounted frame.

I hadn’t felt reflection on the panel a problem - that’s not why I got it framed - but I wanted glass as protection. Not having AR would have created a massive reflective surface.

They look nicer there than in a cardboard box, which I expect most are still sitting in.

Only just. Property first, art/wine/collectibles second. This place looks like a student common room IMHO.

That’s how you do it.
Exactly how I’d frame mine.
Use toggle bolts like I mentioned when framing these. Do not just hang it up. The weight is a lot. Especially if you live in a earth quake area.
They are a little more complex to use but they are worth it.

Damien Hirst H9 • The Virtues, by jimmyjam on Apr 27, 2021 11:47:05 GMT 1, This looks brilliant. Did you notice if the ant-reflective glass reduces the reflection in the panel itself? It doesn't. Why would spend money on just a tray then? I don’t get the idea of that at all. Just hang it up at that point. You also add weight with a good tray.
Spend the extra money - at that point -and protect your piece. I’ve seen many and mine all have uv protection. I does NOT add reflection to the piece at all.
The tray idea make absolutely no sense with these. It’s not a painting.

They do not hold the visual weight of other pieces I have in that room or adjoining rooms. They look lost. I'm not worried about the UV protection aspect; it's in a dark room and - quite frankly - I do not value the Henis in that way. If it fades a little, so be it. My life and collection won't be bothered.
