Would really like one but I would need to shift a different Hirst edition before committing to purchasing one of these. Don’t spose anyone wants to buy a large rainbow do they?

I agree, the vault and crypto are very interesting. There is no hiding the investment/speculation element to it.

So if one were to buy one of these, would one also get an opportunity to buy a signed Richter? Asking for a friend

Pretty conflicted about this. Been waiting on these and passed up on other Hirst releases waiting.

Think the image(s) are great but the size is pretty imposing. Don’t like the fact they are laminated affecting the texture of the heavy paintwork. The open edition is a bit of a negative too.

Ah okay...I just realized these are bigger than the previous heni releases which is great 👍. These are same size as the $22k pieces on their website 👍

Personally these are far better images, easier to look at, less busy than the previous releases.

From an archival perspective the dibond / aluminium setup isn't great and won't hold up well.

These are the crypto equivalent of something like Mt Gox. Loads of promise but ultimately a total disaster. Save your hard ETH earned for GME stonks. To the moon...

Heni are basically being very very clever by offering VERY CHEAP storage in a bonded facility. This means all sorts of people including wealthy investors, speculators, people who want to hide money buying by bitcoin etc and anyone else who wants to flip and make money are likely to buy these. They can then avoid the VAT for quite some time whilst trying to source a buyer. They can also just plough a lot of money into these and just leave them in storage for the long term (it's cheap enough)! Will they go up more than $15 per month, who knows............. it all depends on how many they sell. It's like buying stocks....buyers / investors need never see or touch the artwork, genius!

Also, why do you think Heni have their own secondary market platform. Ideal place for all those items in their storage to be sold on their own platform whilst also charging a commission. They could even try and determine the secondary market price for them, driving up prices. This would also encourage people to buy the next release as they have seen what profits can be made from the previous release and so on.Total win win all the way............ that's if they go up in value of course............. likely not likely, maybe maybe not. Either way, it's a gamble........... just as much as buying shares!

My feeling is that in the short term there could be some value in these due to Heni wanting the market to accept them whilst also establishing the secondary market prices VIA their own platform. Have a quick look at their previous releases being sold on their platform......

The other alternative is to buy one if you like it, hang it and hope it doesn't lose value!

I usually like these forward thinking ideas, but this, I don’t get. Even for people only in it for the money, one of the upsides in “speculating” in an artists career is that you get to enjoy the art on your walls. Now you can pay someone to take that pleasure away?

I like this series but I would have much rather had a shot at an application of a lower edition like his recent heni releases. Not knowing the edition size on these is putting me off throwing £3k at them.
I don't dislike the dibonds, but hope he goes back to proper screen prints on paper soon.
