You don't think corona and lockdown etc has been heavily politicised, particularly in the US and increasingly elsewhere? it's pretty self evident from Trump onwards. Politics is just governing. I think you're maybe confusing American "party politics" with Politics in the real world. That’s probably true... confusing American politics for the “real world” but why reference American politics in the first half of your post then dismiss it as fantasy land in the latter?! It’s ok to talk about COVID in political ways, cultural ways, the cost of economics, the cost of life, etc you don’t seem to think that’s the case and at least assign a hierarchy those topics.

If my post triggers you, fair enough, but in assigning hierarchy and "self awareness" around this particular shirt, I'm pretty well positioned. Sorry you're having to deal with whatever you're dealing with, I'm sure if Brainwash knocks up a South LA Covid T-shirt, NFT and mug you'd feel pretty much the same. |

Sorry, you lost me again. You don't like that I think D's t-shirt is problematic for framing Covid as an apolitical "cultural event" (i.e a bands Tour T-Shirt). Actually, scrap that, you're right. It is in keeping with his work and it's ok to be banal, and it does waste time and energy wishing it be otherwise. I guess him trying to "shoehorn" a design into topical relevance threw me for a second :-)
