NuArt is returning to Aberdeen , by Skizz 82 on May 10, 2021 21:34:54 GMT 1, I don't think I will be able to travel easily this summer and I will be sorry not to see the festival in person
But, let me dream of a box set with an escif and blu. And please don't let me know if this is not the case😉

I’ll endeavour to take and share plenty of photos for you and others who may not be able to visit. I will, however, leave your dreams intact!

NuArt is returning to Aberdeen , by mrizzle on Jun 3, 2021 23:56:11 GMT 1,
Thanks for sharing this Lazarus II, I missed it entirely. I have to confess that I know nothing whatsoever about KMG but intrigued to see what a large Fanakapan might look like. I’ve never been his biggest fan but really enjoyed his collab with Nuno Viegas (who was supposed to be here last year before it was cancelled). Interested to see what he does...and where. Thanks again!

NuArt is returning to Aberdeen , by mrizzle on Jun 5, 2021 23:08:46 GMT 1, So, as I understand it, there will only be 5 murals in total and I think we now know all of the artists. Too many logistical and Covid related issues to try and overcome to really deliver something of the scale we have seen in previous years but I know they’re keen to come back in style next year.

“STUCK UP” Most everyone will have heard the phrase "Stuck Up", a term used for those projecting an air of superiority, -in other words, a snob. An attitude that's possibly more prevalent in the arts than many other industries, and though we're not advocating for class war, we are using this particular project to promote and hopefully activate a more vernacular art on the streets.
Join us in attempting to create the world’s largest official “Paste Up” wall in Aberdeen City Centre this summer, in a concerted effort to put this art form firmly under the public spotlight. We have over half a kilometer of wall space to cover, so that means not only works curated by Nuart founder Martyn Reed in collaboration with flypost legends UNCLE, a wall of political street posters by London’s renowned Flyingleaps, celebrating their fifth anniversary - but also space for your art too.
Posters, Poems, Print outs, Photos, Collages -from the tiny to the huge, all accepted, if we can paste it to a wall, we will. Drop off or post your work to the address above and as long as it isn’t massively offensive, we’ll paste it up. To reach us before Aug 1st, but the sooner the better.

Henrik is a fabulous artist. I bought what I think was his first print many years ago. Sadly I missed out on the small originals he was selling a year or two ago. I’ve not heard much mention of him on here for a while.

Bought a tiny original by him from a member on here a couple of years ago. Would love to own more.

NuArt is returning to Aberdeen , by mrizzle on Jul 1, 2021 17:56:40 GMT 1, He really is very talented isn’t he? Like others here, i passes up on the opportunity to buy a small original a year or two ago. Definitely one of those that I’ve regretted subsequently. Really enjoyed seeing him creating a street piece though as I’ve not seen many by him. I’m going to head into the city to see this one and Snik’s some time next week I think. Will share some photos when I do.

You’re right Coach he used to be mentioned a fair bit on here. I picked up a small watercolour from him about 5 years ago which remains a firm favourite.
His IG as others have mentioned is excellent - seeing how he works etc.

NuArt is returning to Aberdeen , by mrizzle on Jul 4, 2021 18:32:47 GMT 1, Going to be a stunner this one! Did you manage to bag a free print in the treasure hunt mrizzle ? I have spent much of the afternoon running about the city but I did indeed manage to bag the second last one they put out. I’d been messaging them on Instagram commenting as I was breathing out my arse having done more exercise than I’d done in the last 18 months chasing them down. They saw me coming as I rocked up to snag one and watched on clapping and laughing. They took the time to spend some time chatting (both absolutely charming) and even invited me for a beer (which I sadly had to decline having got a time limited pass to be running about the city). Was so cool getting to meet them both and to find them so totally down to Earth and funny. The print was a real bonus and makes it a bit more special having a bit of a story behind it.
Grabbed some photos of Henrik Uldalen’s too while I was in.

You beat me to the second last one but I managed to snag the last one at Henrik's wall.
I was greeted with cheers as they knew I had been trying to track one down.
Lovely day and lovely people!

Thanks so much Coach! It really has been a very memorable day.

If this is what happens when you do leave the city can you perhaps leave more often? 😂
I meant to add, the Snik piece is actually a sister piece to one they’ve done for NuArt in Stavanger and they’re deliberately leaving the right hand side of the mural blank to allow some space between it and the big Herakut piece on the side of Aberdeen Market. My concern for both is that I think the Market will be torn down before too long and that would mean we lose both and the Ben Eine piece. We’ve already seen the Martin Whatson Golfer ripped down when Mackays (the oddest shop in the city) get demolished did we not? I should know as I work around there but, for obvious reasons, haven’t been “in” work for about 18 months.

Do you have a picture of the Herakut?
