Are there any other art discussion boards that focus on women or minorities? I love this forum but it’s tailored to the folks who are obsessed with Banksy, Kaws etc. Used to be tons of discussions on here about artists that weren't Banksy, Kaws, Hirst... Unfortunately the main focus seems to be amount money and not the art these days
I used to post almost daily on the artists you might not know thread.
But it seemed, in the end, to hold little interest, so I rather gave up.
I think that’s how this discussion board started out. Are there any other art discussion boards that focus on women or minorities? I’m single, but when I’m deciding whether or not to buy a piece of art, in an effort to garner somewhat of a female’s perspective, I have an out loud discussion with myself, pretending to be what I like to think my wife would be like, if I had one, as well as myself playing the husband. Online purchases go over very easily, but when I’m at a gallery and I do it, some people get weirded out.
It’s nice to see that there are some female collectors among us. Is there any women members on here.., by stock on May 12, 2021 7:56:17 GMT 1, There`s alot of female street artists out there, but i get the feeling its a sausage fest on this board, all i see are guys saying they need some money there wife's pregnant or there selling a print as there wife thinks its shit and wont allow it on the wall, is there any ladies out there who cover there home in street art and tell there husband his Muhammad Ali signed boxing gloves aint going in there front room and to flog em on Eaby.
Dynamic in my house is that it’s literally covered in street art and my husband,, who knows nothing about art, gets to vet if he likes something or not, and if he doesn’t, I’ll get it and keep it in storage out of respect bc it’s his home too (unless 100% I’m in love with the work- shout out Miaz brothers lady T) I get a trump card- has only happened once. He knows art is in my soul. Find you a man like that.
