For me these feel like 2-3k usd. I think the ship has sailed (badum tss) on the 2-3k WOP, most people would jump on that. Pricing is aggressive but I'm personally not that shocked to see it at that level considering the momentum she's been building in 2019-2020. Would I pay that right now? no, but I feel like next year it won't look that ridiculous

Exactly. It makes those WOP and prints she sold a few months ago look like a steal.

With regards to this release the hand finished prints are pricey but the edition print is strong and a no brainer in my view, at worst you'll double your money.

Her market has moved since then, her decent paintings are now changing hands for between $50-60k when a couple of years back they were $20-30k secondary. I bought a 40cm x 80cm canvas of hers at the start of last year for ยฃ8k and was just offered ยฃ20k from a dealer. I expect her market to keep improving so I'm holding her work and looking to buy strong paintings where possible. With regards to this release the hand finished prints are pricey but the edition print is strong and a no brainer in my view, at worst you'll double your money. |
