I find it refreshing that an artist cares enough about their own market to track and promote the art that has sold bearing their name. We criticize artists on here for pumping out too much art, we complain if they don't produce enough - so why not bash one for being a good global citizen and putting his money where his mouth is. Sound reasonable to me !!!!

If an artist can't express a complicated idea in a simplistic manner, well then it wouldn't be great art! With Stik, for me at least, it's not the painterly technique I'm after, it's the context and positioning of his work and I was blown away reading how much thought went behind his public murals for instance. Anyways, to each his own, just my two cents as I enjoy and appreciate the work. |

So roughly ยฃ35,000 after fees if someone had wanted it at the opening bid
