LY Painter ๐ฏ๐ต Print Release โข Show News โข Art For Sale, by esfer on Apr 16, 2021 8:27:04 GMT 1, I love this artist but I don't understand the price hike. I went to the solo show here in Los Angeles and the prices for works available were quite reasonable. Now when I see stuff it makes it look like I passed up a gold mine.
You actually did pass up buying one of the hottest new artists. However, if you had bought, there was a 3 year no resale clause attached to the works. Three years is a bit too long in my opinion. Especially for her first real solo exhibit. Talk about killing your buzz.
The OP's asking price for this skateboard deck is a decent price actually.
GLWTS!

LY Painter ๐ฏ๐ต Print Release โข Show News โข Art For Sale, by Haven Gallery on May 23, 2021 22:01:37 GMT 1, Jesรบs Aguado, โWake Pigment Clash"
Exhibition runs: June 5th โ July 4th, 2021
Haven Gallery is honored to present, โWake Pigment Clashโ, a mini solo exhibition of seven new paintings by Spanish artist Jesรบs Aguado. โWake Pigment Clashโ is Aguadoโs third solo show at the gallery and is a continuation of his playfully surreal compositions comprised of frolicsome characters merrymaking in phantasmagorical worlds. Animals, people and unclassifiable critters gallivant in unique landscapes and compositions that hark back more traditional style narratives. Aguado juxtaposes these historical roots with his knack for highly expressive and telling characters offering a playful, contemporary twist on art history and our own realities.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jesus Aguado graduated in Fine Arts and started working for different publishing companies. Several years have already passed and what encourages him most to go ahead is the constant search of new styles and ways of expression through drawing. Keen on comic, heโs already been awarded in several competitions (Elgoibar, Tomelloso, Portugalete, Salamanca). His illustrations are recognized by many schoolchildren because they appear in a lot of textbooks. Among other publishing companies, he collaborates with Anaya, Edelvives, Santillana, Siruela, Vicens Vives, Baula, Bruรฑo, Casals, Kumon, Grimm Press (Taiwan) He has also worked for Junta de Castilla y Leรณn and Ser Padres Hoy magazine.

Nicolas Bruno: The Embellished Collection
Exhibition runs: June 5th โ July 4th, 2021
Haven Gallery is pleased to present, โNicolas Bruno, The Embellished Collectionโ. โNicolas Bruno, The Embellished Collectionโ is an online collection of his highly success Tarot Card interpretation as seen through the lens of the artists dreamscape. This series features each card as a unique, one of a kind, hand embellished work.
"The Somnia Tarotโ chronicles the entire Tarot Card Deck with all of its suits, through the hauntingly beautiful dreamscape stemming from the artist's sleep paralysis. Bruno uses his quintessential characters, moods, symbolic pillars and backdrops in a breathtakingly poignant adaptation of the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana, totaling seventy-eight photographs. This seventy eight piece collection is the artistโs largest series yet and both uniquely and elegantly execute the timeless narratives of the Tarot Deck.
Brunoโs artwork confronts his lifelong battle with sleep paralysis. His artistic process represents and records each step of his cathartic journey from drawing the dream the moment he awakens, to building sets and costumes and ultimately inserting himself into the majority of these roles. Each aspect allows for therapeutic healing as the artist seizes control over these common anxieties of fear, solitude, and pursuit that permeate both our sleeping and waking hours. Brunoโs command over these nightmares and anxieties through his artistic endeavors take his subconscious odyssey one step further embracing and expanding into empathy and collective connection.

Ling Ly, โDark Moonโ
June 5th - July 4th, 2021
Haven Gallery is pleased to present โDark Moonโ, a collection of new paintings from Hong Kong based artist Ling Ly. The work of Ling Ly is a symbolic reflection of intimacy and personal moments amidst the human condition. Each oil painting is a symphony of color and brushstroke that cultivates the artists inner voice and reflection during times of solitude and internal contemplation. With a painterly approach, Ling captivates and translates the inner turmoil of oneself's multifaceted emotions. An eternal ocean of color and movement can be found in her details, highlighting the mighty microcosm of sentience and the many complexities of our individuality.
Artist Statement on "Dark Moon":
It is said that dark moon energy encourages personal growth; a powerful time to connect with your shadows. This phrase of the moon is โA time of rest, meditation, deep introspection, soul searching and contemplation. A time to banish, bind, and balance.
ABOUT LING LY
Ling Ly was born in a small rural village in China and spent her teenage years in Hong Kong. She attended the Art Center College of Design, and graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 2013. After completing her degree, she moved back to Hong Kong and has been living there ever since. Her inspiration comes from herself, her life and experiences.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am someone who doesnโt feel I belong anywhere. I would say I live my life pretty spiritually most of the time, often alone and with self activities. Therefore, something is always coming from my inner world, instead of the location, circumstance or reality etc. around me.

Zoe Thomas, "Whisperings of the Inner World"
Exhibition runs: June 5th โ July 4th, 2021
Haven Gallery is pleased to present, โNew Works", a solo exhibition of new sculptures by UK based artist Zoe Thomas. โNew Worksโ is Thomas's first solo show at the gallery and features ten clay sculpted dolls that surrealistically merge the world of humans with nature and its various elements. Thomasโs painted serene faces are undoubtably human, but their bodies tend to beckon other beings or genre. Wings, botany and elemental details are sculpted naturally, bringing humanity back to its roots in nature. One may even say that the uncharacteristic animal, fauna or elemental qualities lend themselves to the emotionally complex world of emotions and thought inside each of us, reminding us of our connectedness to each another other and the world at large.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I was lucky to be brought up in a creative family, who always encouraged my creativity and taught me a wide range of crafts, from around the age of 10, I had a clear idea that I wanted to be an artist when i grew up.
After graduating with a degree in illustration, I quickly realised that working to someone else's brief wasn't for me and so I joined an arts collective, rented a studio and taught myself to paint. My paintings at that time, were semi auto biographical, but rather than include my own image in the works, I created puppets and dolls to photograph and they became my vehicle of self expression. I exhibited for a number of years until taking a break to start a family and dedicating my time to bringing up my children.
I continued to make dolls and over the years, my process and style developed. More often now, I work with clay, paper, textiles and paint to create art dolls as well as sculptural wall art. I love the variation that working with so many materials allows. I approach my work in a playful, intuitive way, often without a clear finished piece in mind. I might start with a theme, an experience or emotion, always making the face first, then sculpting and discovering each piece in the process. I hand paint each piece with oil paint and enjoy this final step, when they seemingly take on a life of their own.
The faces of my dolls have a quiet, pensive expression, gazing out at the viewer. They have been described as whimsical, emotive and melancholic. I like to think of them as characters from untold stories, echoing the dreamlike worlds and dark forests of the fairy tales that I loved to read as a child.
I often include symbols, thematic and anthropomorphic elements in my pieces, to help create an ambiguous narrative, inviting the viewer to create their own meaning.
I am inspired by folklore, mythology and our inherited symbolic language of the unconscious. I hope to evoke this world of mystery, wonder and fear, as well as to convey a disquieting yearning to reconnect with it.
I live in Cambridge UK, and work from home, in a small studio at the bottom of my garden. Over the past two years, I have been able to spend much more time creating my art, and am excited to see how my work evolves in the future.

LY Painter ๐ฏ๐ต Print Release โข Show News โข Art For Sale, by grimacethepimp on Aug 22, 2021 19:49:50 GMT 1, Not a fan? Or not a fan of the fact that there will only be a handful for the public release? The "Damn" was that I will very likely miss it, for the price and because it's Avant Arte...
I think there will be a good chance that people who received interviews for the Javier Prints will be able to get some of the prints.
The price is up there but LY hardly releases prints and has a good amount of demand.
Adriana Oliverโs print with Avant is also coming out soon. Also, another major artist by end of year will be announced.
